Bettys is famous for afternoon tea, and if you want to experience the finest we offer, book your table in the Belmont Room, York. This beautiful, historic room - located on the first floor of our York tea room - is steeped in history and provides the perfect setting for our most exquisite afternoon tea. You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a selection of savouries, indulgent sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible dainty cakes and scones.     You'll be serenaded by our pianist as you enjoy a lavish selection of dainty sandwiches, specially selected teas and irresistible miniature cakes and scones.     Extremely enjoyable experience overall - both in terms of food and ambience - to celebrate a friend's birthday., Staff friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Great music being played on the piano.

    I've waited 30 years to have the Betty's experience. I was not disappointed. Throughly enjoyed it. Perfect treat if your in York and want something a little different to all the pubs and restaurants.

    Fantastic as always - from the welcome to leaving everything was very good. Food beautifully presented, our waitress (sorry I forgot her name) was extremely helpful and professional. The piano music was mot enjoyable.

    To be honest I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The sandwiches were really poor, service was poor an overall mediocre experience for a lot of money.

    Flexibly fitted us in an hour early. Plenty of nice food and drink, plus extra during and to go on request. Attentive service without being intrusive.
