Salute offers five distinct areas for dining: Al Fresco, a casual Bar, Lounge, Wine Room, and Main Dining Room.

We also have a full Bar, Beer, Wine and Soft Drinks to accompany your meal. Additionally, Salute imports Olive Oil and Wine from its own vineyards in Tuscany; which adds to the depth and authenticity of your dining experience.

The menu at Salute is varied and extensive, offering Bruschetta, Appetizers, Imported Italian Cheeses, Cured Meats, Salads, Pasta, and many other delicious entree choices.

                                                                                  We had 4 diners on the patio. Ambiance was good. Meals were so-so. The scallops w risotto were not good. Only5 bay scallops on overcooked risotto. Sausage w potatoes was good, ample portion. Mushroom ragu on papardelle were good but not filling. Clams on linguine were the best entree, many clams on a bed of linguine were tasty. We had one drink each plus entree only, tab per couple was over $100 before tip. Not a good value given the quality of our meals.

                                                                                  The service here was great. Very professional and friendly. Our waiter was really good with wonderful suggestions. Loved the Italian flare. The bread was delicious. Gave it a 4 for food as 2 of the 5 dishes weren’t as great. The short rib ravioli entree was great tasting but you only get 5 small ones. Not even enough for an appetizer. We all had to give him some of our food to fill him up. And he ate a ton of bread too. Too expensive for just five. Should be 10 or 15 raviolis. The other dish was scallops which were okay but pretty bland tasting. The other 3 dishes were wonderful which were scampi linguine, chicken scallopini, and veal scallopini. The wine choices were great too.

                                                                                  The ambiance inside and outside was nice. Tim, our server, was terrific and very accomodating. We had penne in bolognese sauce. While the flavor was terrific, it was missing most of the meat that makes it a bolognese sauce. Bottomline, we will return when we visit Sarasota again. Thank you.

                                                                                  Started with the meatball appetizer. The meatballs were not hot enough and the dollops of ricotta were really cold. Wouldn’t recommend them. Sausage dinner had no sauce, was dry and lacked flavor. Roasted potatoes were very good, however. My chicken dinner topped with prosciutto was too salty, but otherwise tasty. The Tiramisu was enjoyable. We sat in the wine room, which we enjoyed. They seemed to have no system for which table ordered which food. They came to every table in our small room every time they had plates to deliver! The wine was my favorite part.
