Big City Tavern is a busy, vibrant restaurant reminiscent of the great urban taverns of Chicago, New York and Boston. A stylish, classic American restaurant, Big City offers a varied menu featuring dry aged steaks, burgers, fresh seafood, salads and fresh house-made pasta of the day. Some of the more popular dishes are the Pan Roasted Salmon with Tomato and the House-Made Charcuterie. The desserts are all enticing, all house made and all delicious. The extensive wine list emphasizes California varietals by the bottle or glass. With its magnificent grand bar always busy, Big City has a constant din of energy and conviviality. Big City offers outdoor sidewalk dining in the center of the action on Las Olas Blvd. If you have special needs, require high chairs or need assistance please notify us.

    Great place! They cook real food, not frozen slop which is becoming all too common. I had the mushroom risotto with scallops which was a special, and it was delicious. Great staff and the best location. I have to save room for dessert next time!

    On previous visits, we have very much enjoyed the atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food at big city Tavern. Unfortunately, this was not the experience we had when we went there this past Saturday 12-21-24. There were several large, very, very unnecessarily loud parties seated next to us and management made no effort to ask them to keep their noise to a reasonable level out of respect for other patrons. On top of that service was exceedingly slow and unattended, and the food was mediocre at best. We were very disappointed as we were looking forward to a wonderful pre-holiday lunch. Probably will not go back for a while .

    The food runner gave our appetizer to another table delaying ours. Waiter Tried to give a bogus reason as to why it happened. The food runner brought out the appetizer again and again went to the same other table. Waiter was not on top of it. Delayed everything else. Got a sorry..

    It was in a real happening spot in Fort Lauderdale and I felt safe and comfortable in this area. The restaurant had a nice friendly atmosphere to it as well as an upscale feel. The food and drinks were awesome.
