Dine on fresh sustainably-sourced seafood, wild game meats and more. Our casual setting and inviting atmosphere is ideal for grabbing a bite to eat with friends or family.

Big Fish offers food such as a seafood chowder, smoked oyster sliders or chili-glazed frog legs that make for flavorful appetizers. Guests can feast on an entrée of pan-roasted walleye with wilted spinach, fish tacos topped with tomato-mango salsa or a lamb and lobster burger. An oyster bar as well as delicious house-made desserts are also available.

Open Range embodies the essence of our city; cutting edge, but comfortable and unpretentious. Open Range mixes modern with tradition, serving every cut you would expect but preparing them with interesting variations of flavours. We offer locally raised beef, elk, bison and game prepared in an easy going Southwestern style. We are one of Calgary's premier steakhouses with multiple awards and accolades.

Delicious options for lunch. We really enjoyed the lunch specials. Salmon burger outstanding as was the lavender lemon cake

We were a party of 6, 4 out of 6 of us enjoyed our meals 2 of us ordered the short ribs and neither of us enjoyed them, too much sauce and the ribs themselves were too chewy For $39 too pricy for mediocre Fish and chips were good, butter chicken and lobster tail in itself slightly weird of a dish, chicken was good, lobster chewy Chowder and impossible chicken bowl were good

My order was ok felt more like meatball in middle of my hamburger. Should been more evenly made. Small serving size overall. Had to go eat somewhere after to feel full. Server was not great let use eat our meal without checking if we needed refills and not around when I was looking to get more drinks.

It’s beautiful inside and vibrant but not too noisy. The salmon was excellent! Great quality, very well cooked and delicious sides. You really get what you pay for. Service was friendly and quick. We will be back!

Delicious meal, we are already planning what to have next time. Both the pork chop and braised bison were amazing. We will definitely return.

Big fish and Open Range seem to have lost their taste buds. The mains were under seasoned and very bland. The steaks were all Chicago style burned on the outside, we’re talking a thick layer of charcoal black on the outside, and not cooked to the right temperature. We asked for one medium and one medium-well steak and the medium well was red throughout, while the ´medium’ was more cooked than the medium-well, but still not correct. The Arctic Char tasted like any other white fish. It was very thin and though covered in seasoning, still lacking any flavor. The scallops on the seafood platter were overcooked, and the bread was very hard and dry. For the prices being charged, the food should be much better. The portions seem to be smaller as well. Lots of gravy was needed to give the steaks any flavor, while the risotto was flavorless as well. Our server was good, but unfortunately, that was the only positive for our evening.

Everyone working was friendly and pleasant. The food was so delicious and well cooked. The scallop appetizer was especially delicious. Cocktails were also fun and they use a vegan foam so no worries about raw egg whites!

As I was not to hungry, I chose the pears and beets salad and it was delicious. Though I did taste my husband’s walleye and love it. The waiter was so pleasant!
