Love the laid back, kid friendliness of Bird on a Roof! Food is very good and servers are kind and attentive.

I don’t really leave bad reviews as a general principle but this was just bad and I want to write to save others from what I experienced. We were sat next to TWO tables of ten (we were just two) and it was extremely loud and chaotic to the point that I could not enjoy it. This was supposed to be a speakeasy experience and I can’t imagine something being less like a speakeasy. I don’t understand seating a two top next to two large tables like that. Might I add we were also next to the set up for the band so that was going on on the other side. I will admit we arrived a bit late for the reservation due to extenuating circumstances so the only thing I can imagine (or hope) is we had another table before that but even if so, I wish they had let us know about the seating so we could have either 1) asked to sit at the bar or somewhere else or 2) opted out of dining. I would have just appreciated the transparency. Montauk has become so catered to these large groups that dining out on the weekend for a couple has become something of an impossibility and I just find that really sad.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and we made a reservation to celebrate. They actually had a beautiful handwritten anniversary card signed by the staff a beautiful full rose . The food is outstanding and the service is impeccable. This place is a gem 💎

I ordered the jalapeño Marg and it was Delicious, I also got the locks toast it was not overwhelming just perfectly plated. Service was amazing and attentive. I would go back and i deff recommend this place.

Our dinner was great--mussels were delicious in great broth with nicely grilled bread. We had fries and carrots on the side and they were also great. The live music was a really nice addition. The enclosed outdoor space we sat in is pretty charmless.

A very cute diner-like experience. The food was GOOD like an old school diner but not anything fancy. I would go back!
