                                                                                      It truly was a terrific experience! We started with the escargot which was perfect! Following our appetizer my husband and I enjoyed the perfectly prepared Dover Sole. The manager checked on us to make sure everything was to our liking. Jerry, our server was very attentive and engaging. Overall 5 star plus!

                                                                                      Last night, my wife and I had a marvelous opportunity to celebrate the Holiday Season at Bistro 31. According to Michael, the Metra D, the Bistro has been open for 13 years. He remembers our joining him for this occasion for each of those years. The food, service, and ambiance were excellent. It only gets better each year. Christmas time isn't the only time we break bread with them. We enjoy lunch or dinner there several times during the year. We enjoy introducing friends and relatives to each of the Lombardi Family restaurants. Last evening, we took our daughter, Neenah, and her friend, Bob, for the first time. They loved it, so I know the four of us will be back. Thanks, Michael; you, Stephen, and Mr. Lombardi always treat us like family!!! Happy Holiday!!! Steve

                                                                                      Our waiter was amazing and the food was delicious. However our seating was awful. We were literally wedged in a doorway with exceedingly high traffic. Behind us was a table of 16, there were 7 kids running back and forth tipping over the purse stand and making our holiday celebration less than enjoyable. Staff should feel comfortable asking guests to either have their children sit or leave. Tough to justify paying $75 for a polenta dish while sitting in a doorway surrounded by unruly children. I left mentally exhausted.

                                                                                      This restaurant is for local regulars. If you don’t come to brunch looking like you have money, don’t expect to be sat at a good table. We made reservations to celebrate an occasion, they sat us at the worst spot, when tables much better placed were available, and stayed available. The manager was clearly unaware that we would be spending a lot, yet judged my daughter’s casual attire and sat us according to his assumed class bias. She was dressed casual, and simple. This shouldn’t impact our celebration experience. I’d not go again, but I’m sure they’d not miss our $200 spend.

This is an annual lunch for me and my dear girlfriends...they always make it special. Food is always perfect. Service is spot on. Thanks for always taking care of us.
