Bistro Casanova is smooth, elegant, exquisite and fun. A tropical landscaping refreshes the air surrounding the outside al fresco tables. Bistro Casanova offers Mediterranean fare, its roots coming from the Cinque Terre in Italy where the owner comes from. Its menu reaches some classic of the European cuisine: Paella for two, Cioppino, Focaccias, Grigliata plates of grilled meat or fish large enough to share, prime cuts of steaks are between the favorites, next to an excellent selection of pastas and fresh salads. Locally grown ingredients are used extensively, as well as the freshest fish from Maui's ocean. Bistro Casanova is a favorite for Happy Hour relaxation, watered by specialty martinis and carafes of mojito and margaritas.
Tapas (available after 4pm) can be a tasty complement to your drinks, an opening line for your dinner, or dinner itself. At dinner, Bistro Casanova is a romantic destination for meals before a show or the perfect stop before flying out of Maui.

Bistro Casanova is one of our go to places on Maui. I think we have eaten there at least 25 times. The food is always consistently good and the prices are very fair. The menu isn’t extensive, but offers something for every food taste and dietary needs. It seems like every time I go I ordered the same thing - Angle Hair “Checca”, but last night I tried something new, chicken Parmesan. It was really good; in fact, I am planning another outing there soon just to have it again. Bistro Casanova is also a great place for two people to sit and dine at the bar. It’s always fun to do that and often the owners will be sitting next to you. If you haven’t tried, we still Casanova I think you’re missing out on great dining experience.

The food was ok? Not amazing but not terrible. The lobster pasta was quite good, the fish special was good and the Alfredo was ok. Service was good. The main reason for a 3 is the ambience. I can get similar quality food almost anywhere in Maui but have a view of the ocean or some type of tropical backdrop. At Casanovas, the inside seems very outdated and they had the ac on so it was so cold that you didn’t want to sit inside. The outside was very windy and you had a view of a busy street or concrete parking lot. The food was good but for the prices (which are similar to other parts of the island) I think there are better options.

Thank you for sharing your appreciation for our good food. I am sorry you did not like our ambience. We are proud of our hand blown light fixtures, our original paintings from some of the most renown and beloved Maui artists, our Venetian plastered interior walls and of the waterfall fixture that adds sound and vibes to the dining room. I respectfully disagree that our prices are comparable to venues with ocean views. We cater mostly to local residents who patronize us regularly since 15 years. Our prices are set with full awareness of the fact that we have no ocean view and are often mentioned by other reviewers as very reasonable. Your observation about the a/c being too cold has been brought to the attention of our Hostesses and it will be corrected. We appreciate your reminder.

1st off, thanks to Bistro Casanova for being open for Xmas dinner, as a tourist it was much appreciated. Food was excellent, service was excellent, we couldn't decide on which dessert to get, so got all 4 to share between the 5 of us. All were top notch. Would definitely recommend Bistro Casanova to anyone. We drove from Lahinia specifically for Xmas dinner, and it was worth the effort. Thanks for taking care of us! - Mike from Michigan

Been coming to Casanova’s for 15 plus years. It has never disappointed. Everything is made from scratch, is high quality, and tastes amazing amazing. Our server Edward did a wonderful job.
