The people who work at Blackbird Tavern make us who we are. They’re artists and foodies, lovers of bourbons and Whiskey and connoisseurs of Craft Beer. They’re like a family, in all the best ways. We reside in an old Feed and Mercantile Building in the heart of Old Town Temecula. We believe in quality over quantity, cutting no corners and most of all, in our community. Blackbird Tavern has an “Old Farm-House” feel with Modern amenities. Our 12,000 Square foot venue was designed to accommodate events of all sizes, from a 40 guest rehearsal dinner to a 200 guest reception. I made a reservation for 7:45 PM on New Year's Eve and arrived at 7:30. The hostess informed us we'd be seated at our reservation time, which was fine. We were seated outside next to two heaters, but shortly after, they asked if they could remove one heater to accommodate another table. We agreed, and though it was 50 degrees, the remaining heater was sufficient for the two of us. We ordered drinks, but one of them arrived late. When it was time to order food, we waited. Not a single staff member checked in on us for nearly 45 minutes. By 8:30, we still hadn’t received our food. At 8:45, the waitress asked if we'd like another drink. We declined and inquired about the status of our order. She returned to inform us that the kitchen hadn’t even started preparing our food yet—it had been over an hour. At that point, we decided to ask for our check. The waitress apologized for the delay and offered to comp our drinks, as well as any additional drinks moving forward. We appreciated the gesture, but by then, a large party next to us had already left, and we felt it was best to do the same. Overall, it was an extremely frustrating experience. I understand that staffing issues can happen, but the restaurant wasn’t as busy as expected for New Year's Eve. To make matters worse, another party next to us had kids running around and jumping off tables, adding to the discomfort. I would not recommend this place.

We went there last night and waited for an hour and a half and never got our food. We booked inside seating and they put us outside. There were six people and they offered a $50 gift card. There were four other tables around us that never got their meals either.

Food was great for the cost point, drinks were on the small side for the price but good none the less. Our waitress was spot on and high energy. We will go back.

We sat down and our order was taken within five minutes. There was no waiting for our table. After 40 minutes, we asked where our food was, and there was absolutely no urgency. We had to tell our server again that we were very hungry and can we please get our meal. After 55 minutes we were finally served. We had to ask them to bring us silverware. The food was fine. Not great, but not bad. But the service was awful. they weren’t very busy so I’m not sure why there was such a long wait to finally get our food. we had to ask them to bring us silverware.

The food was AMAZING!! We ordered several different items to share, and each item was more than enough to share, full of flavor, and presented well! The service was a little slow, specifically at the bar.

I was there with a group of childhood girlfriends for dinner. We were seated immediately and our server was so nice. She checked with us frequently without disturbing us. Food was great and we loved the decor! Will definitely recommend and return

Their food is always good! Wish the service was a bit quicker given it wasn’t too busy but that’s ok!

Great food, atmosphere and service! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Old Town Temecula.

Food was not good except for the appetizers. We were served appetizers and no plates. We had to wait for a while before even being served. Food was ok but not to ratings. Beer selection was minimal for what we expected. Outdoor area is nice.
