Blade 1936 is an upscale casual modern Italian restaurant which took over the historic Blade Tribune and News Building in Oceanside. Blade 1936 features authentic Italian cuisine and wood-fired pizza. Our menu features fresh pastas, local seafood, steaks and sinful desserts. We have Vegan and Gluten Free menus.

Featuring two private dining rooms, Blade 1936 is the perfect venue for your special occasions. Our private wine room seats up to 60 guests and the Chef table seats up to 10. Our outdoor patio is perfect for dining al fresco with your pet.

The ambience and atmosphere was really something! Have no trouble finding parking and even though they were packed, they didn’t have to wait too long. The food and the drinks were amazing! Definitely would recommend and definitely will be coming back!

Our first visit to Blade. We ordered the truffle pizza as an appetizer and that was delicious! For entrees we ordered the Pappardelle Ai Funghi E Olio Tartufato and the Spaghetti Ai Frutti Di Mare. Both dishes were fantastic. Service was excellent. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Had an excellent meal. Staff was great. Food quality is great. Learned they source most of their items from Italy. Will be going back for sure!

The food was great. Service was spectacular..only issue was the noise level. It is INCREDIBLY loud. We will absolutely be back and will be taking out of town guests for sure!
