   Service was very slow and the time between the courses and ordering didn't make much sense. The food was small bites at entree prices. Some items were a complete miss and a few were top notch. An example is the oysters, they had potential for great flavor but they were fried very hard for no reason and wish it had more than 2 pieces of broccoli since there were no sides of broccoli available. The drinks were okay but nothing notable. This was our 5th stop of the day of all vegan food and was the biggest disappointment. I was excited to surprise my husband with this dinner experience but I regretted it. It's a very hipster place and I could see the other patrons enjoying it but I assume we are not the demographic for it. It was beautiful decor and a welcoming environment.

   This is the second time we’ve gone this month. It’s absolutely incredible. Food is amazing and Service was spectacular.

   Both, my husband and I are not vegans, but are exploring new ways of saving the planet! Bloom was amazing and did not disappoint. The food was great, the staff was friendly. The interior Design of the restaurant was nice, too. The reason we did not give five stars: the bench seating was a bit uncomfortable, the music was a tad too loud, and we felt a bit rushed when food was brought to the table before we had finished our course. But we will definitely be back!

   Bloom was phenomenal! We did the chefs table tasting menu and every dish was better than the last—legitimately can’t pick a favorite. I’m not vegan or vegetarian, and I didn’t miss meat, dairy, etc. at all. Also, the hostess, servers, and chef were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Highly recommend!!

   The 6-course meal was delicious and pleasing visually. Many different textures, flavors, contrasting temperatures. Chef-owner prepared and described our meal right in front of us. Talented man with a passion for sustainable eating. My further description of the meal will not do it justice, so you'll just have to try for yourself. I highly recommend it.

   The food is usually good, but unfortunately, it took over two and a half hours to receive our meal. While the server was kind, the service was extremely slow. It seems like poor management is the main issue, as they clearly need to hire more staff. Despite it being my birthday, they completely forgot about it, which was quite disappointing. I’ve always enjoyed the food here, but this experience left me very frustrated.

    Here for an annual conference. Always like to raise the bar eating out. We did tonight. We were hesitant to try anything veg in Chicago. after Green Zebra closed, but if you’re looking for a similar culinary experience, this is your place. Ambience is less retro and more organic, but still cool. Lighter. Beautiful. Cocktails are really fun (and mocktails were tempting- but we drink). Guessing alcohol tabs pay the bills in that neighborhood, so if you’re a moderate-drinking foodie , please go here. If in Chicago, please go often! We want this place to be an establishment! Looooved the endive salad, the arancini, the gnocchi (yucca based), and the lemon tart (parsnip based). We just didn’t have room for more. Portions were perfect!!! If you’re vegan (we aren’t), you’ll find paradise. My super-picky (like, 5 year- old picky) husband - who nearly cringed every time I ordered a dish- devoured everything, including all my food when I wasn’t looking . And proclaimed it one of his best restaurant meals in ages. Service from Melli at the bar was super fun, friendly, and attentive; and she had the perfect recs for food and beverages!! Oh and to boot, an imaginative wine list!! Top it off- all very reasonably priced (maybe on low end based on our experience) for the effort and craftsmanship in these recipes. Bonus: casual attire. Vegan or not, Bloom should be a destination place in Chicago for those who appreciate imagination/innovation in cooking——highly recommend!!!!
