Blue Haven in New York is situated on Houston Street at the edge of Greenwich Village and SoHo. The food and menu selections were quite good. The service was lacking as we had to get the waitress to refill beverages, condiments, etc. The bill was also a bit confusing. Regardless, for the price, it's a great local find for lunch and before the bar/sports fans come in.

Plenty of televisions to watch a game. Service is excellent and we were greeted by the bartender on a busy Saturday night (rare in my opinion).

We had tried to eat at a different restaurant close by but the wait was nearly an hour. So we looked on open table and found Blue Haven. Walking in, we found that it was extremely clean with all kinds of different sports on the tv's. The menu is actually more creative than most sports type bars, and the food itself is of the highest quality. But the charm of this place is that you really feel like its a family operation. We met Rory, one of the owners and he really made our experience extraordinary. We will definitely be going back!

This place bills itself as a sports bar offering Sunday Brunch. Well, there are lots of screens, but they don't have their act together - at all - as a place for brunch. I took my 14 year old jock son for Sunday Brunch and we both enjoyed the ambiance, but as for brunch: No decaf coffee ("Sorry, we only serve caffeinated") No espresso at all ("Sorry") No half-and-half ("Sorry, we only have whole milk") No english muffins No cream cheese These are pretty standard requests for a place that says they have a "Sunday Brunch." That no decaf attitude may signal that they are tough jocks, but for most people, it would be considerate to offer your customers decaf, e.g. If you want to have a good brunch with your sports, try someplace else.

I don't know how Blue Haven is listed as a gastropub with a great beer selection. It had a less than mediocre beer list, and the food was atrocious. My turkey pot pie was basically a Campbell's cream of garbage soup with a flaky pastry plopped on top. The pastry literally slid off the pot pie & onto the table when the food runner was serving it.

I had my birthday dinner here with about 18-20 of my friends. When I made the reservation, I had no idea that we'd have the entire back room which made the night even better. Our waitress, Steph was great and managed to handle having a large group fantastically. The manager turned down the music when we asked him to and we were able to watch multiple sporting events at once. This was definitely a nice surprise- I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a group get together!

I went for thr bisquits. They were all right, but not homemade tasting. The waitress was attentive even after the restaurant became busier. I enjoyed the combination of Fleetwood Mac and Elton John mixed tape.

They accommodated our late request to add two more to our party of 10. Fine place for a brunch of 25 yr olds. Good beer selection and good service.

Great place.. Came for Ready To Unload --- a sports podcast they sponsor.. SUCH A GREAT EVENT and night!! Come out for everything this place has!! Staff was very helpful and great ambiance!!!
