"At Bobby Vans 54th Street, you can expect the same great service and the same great food as our other restaurants. Tucked away in another historic restaurant location, (at one time this was the hang out spot for such stars as Frank Sinatra and the rest of the Rat Pack) there is plenty of history and untold stories behind these walls, if only they could talk. Conveniently located just east of Park Avenue and 4 blocks north of The Waldorf-Astoria, this is where you want to be. As you walk into the restaurant you’re greeted by our hosts and a large credenza filled with beautiful bottles of wine. Glancing to your left you overlook the spacious yet always occupied bar, where the bartenders know your name and have your drink waiting for you before you can even say hello. Separating the bar from the dining room is a glass window so you can see all the action of other diners enjoying their meals. Our dining spaces can be divided into a space as intimate as a party of 12 or can be fully opened to accommodate a party of up to 140. Last minute reservations. We were greeted and seated promptly. Waiter was very nice, although he got busy and we didn’t see him for awhile. BangBang Shrimp was delicious and plentiful. Harry’s salad was so good. Vinaigrette was light and delicious. Added salmon that was cooked perfect, I prefer chefs keep skin on and make crispy, but that didn’t happen. Overall lovely dinner

They were not good with a holiday rush and I felt they took it out on us with rushing us and giving us time frames to eat/complete. Unhappy experience today.

The food and service was amazing. I would go back again just for that. But it was so loud you could not have a conversation. Which ruins the dinner for me. And we were not sitting too close to the bar either.

I was bit turned off when the host said he needed the table by 6:30pm I thought that was quite rude when I had a reservation and clearly there were many available tables. Our server was so kind and very knowledgeable. Luckily we got most of our food to go and we were able to give them their cramped table by 6:40.

Nothing memorable about the sides, every thing either lacked basic seasoning or went overboard. Presentation and service was basic, nothing to write home about. A bit pushy at times with upselling, clearing plates too early, and a tad too fussy for our group. Next time I’m in midtown I’d consider coming in for the porterhouse but that’s about it.

We arrived early and the manager told us to come in they were super sweet the best food amazing service it was the best!

There is a happy medium between servers being too present or not at all. This was one of those times. Half way through appetiser before I received my glass of wine. Put us away from all other diners and kept us waiting despite reservations being made.
