The ladies at the reception desk were very polite, and the waiter came to our table very quickly. My wife and daughter-in-law ordered the salmon which they enjoyed. My son and I ordered the rack of lamb and requested medium. However when the lamb arrived it was VERY rare, not just medium rare. The waiter handled it very professionally, however this was a major foul-up by the kitchen. The restaurant is very noisy and the prices very high, and I am not sure we will bother to go back even though we are members of La Costa.

Excellent service and food. The restaurant is extremely loud. If you’re looking for lively, it’s great. Not a great spot for a romantic dinner though.

Bob's was so disappointing. We went to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our waiter did not tell us the specials until I asked when he came to take our order. I ordered the fish special, but it came out cold. I sent it back, and the kitchen just heated the dish up, but it was just room temperature at that point. A $70 piece of fish should have been remade. We also ordered a salad to share, which should have been divided, but was just plopped down between us with no sharing plates to go with it. There was no offer for a dessert for my husband's birthday, which was fine, but again, it was a special day.

I must say that I was very impressed with the entire experience at Bob’s Steak House/La Costa resort. The service was outstanding and our server Antonio was very accommodating and gave us great recommendations which we found to be most appetizing. The cocktails were amazing and the food was excellent . Everything within the resort boundaries was top notch. However, when we got back to our room to enjoy our leftovers, I found a large piece of plastic in the creamed spinach which was very disappointing considering the price of the meal. Aside from that, great experience and would probably return. Just make sure you check your to go box before digging in.
