   We arrived a little earlier than our booked time, but we’re the only customers. We were seated, and served promptly. Because we were having lunch with friends we weren’t in a particular rush so we didn’t mind, but our food did take over an hour to come, other guests seemed to have ordered after us and left before we got our food. I don’t think we ordered anything particularly obscure some pies and a fish & chips. The food itself was lovely, and the price seemed reasonable.

   It was our first visit here , the food was absolutely gorgeous , The place was on the chilly side apart from that everything else was lovely

   A disappointing first visit to the jail meaning that we won’t be returning any time soon. Service was extremely slow, and when food arrived the ordered medium rare steak was well done. Vegetables on another meal were raw meaning they were inedible. The stark meal was swapped but the new meal arrived after the rest of the table had finished. Very disappointing.

   Really fab food. Apparantly they had been very busy, but there were only 2 other diners in there when we were there and only one waitress. Waitress was lovely. Food seemed to take forever to be ready. But well worth the wait (although i would have preferred to not have to wait so long!) but would recommend.

    The food was the best we had on holiday, all week! It was delicious and extremely good value for money. I had soup, chicken and cheesecake and would consider eating there each evening when visiting again, as we visit family in Cornwall often. Some other restaurants were around £17.00 for a main course only!! I have told everyone I have spoken to, to eat at Bodmin Jail. Thank you all Ruth
