Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant.

Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Tandoor highlights include Murgh Hariyali Tikka, which is grilled chicken breast marinated with fresh green spices and yoghurt, as well as vegan options, too.

    Relatively new gem of a restaurant in Wimbledon. Food was exceptionally delicious. Service was very welcoming and efficient despite it being a very busy Sat evening. Would definitely visit again.

    Great evening, last minute booking and they were able to accommodate us. Very welcoming on our first visit, attentive staff, excellent food. Highly recommended just what Wimbledon needed and very busy which is great news for the restaurant. We will definitely return.
