It was a very special Christmas Eve dinner! I first heard about this restaurant when it was reviewed in the SF Chronicle 11/3/24. It was as good as it possibly could be. The food was absolutely delicious. My daughter & I ordered the steak & frites & I asked for my frites to be very crispy & for 2 dishes of aioli to dip them in & they easily accommodated me. The steak with peppercorn sauce was tender and a perfect medium rare.

One of our new favorite restaurants in SF. Our second time there & everything was great. Superb steak frites & oysters. Beautiful space & excellent service.

Loved it! Service was very attentive and they had wonderful suggestions from their menu. The steak tartare was delicious served on homemade potato chips. The deviled eggs were a wonderful surprise served upside down with a sauce and caviar on top. The Caesar salad was amazing…I shared this but won’t next time I return…it was delicious with the crunchy topping. We shared the roast chicken, which was so tender and had the most delicious pan gravy. And don’t leave without trying the Soft Serve dessert. It checks all the boxes…caramel, toasted hazelnuts, poached pears and ice cream.

My second time eating at Bon Delire and a delightful experience both times. The first time I came with a friend and we had the caesar salad which is excellent, the truffle fries (delicious and a huge portion!), and the leeks. We had a couple of glasses of wine recommended by staff which were wonderful. I came back with my French husband who had the steak tartare and declared it delicious, the caesar salad again because it’s so good, and the regular fries with aioli. Our server recommended a carafe of wine which was excellent. All in all great experiences both times.

Our first time there and we were very pleased. Service was great, the food was amazing and the ambiance was great. Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

What a great experience we had at this new French restaurant. The food was amazing definitely try the baguette and their soft water before ordering the delicious steak tartar or regular steak.

So excited to try this place out. They opened about 8 weeks ago. We love French food, anything French basically! So glad we were able to snag reservations at the bar. It’s a small place but lots of flavor. Love the little details to the restaurant, great bread and butter, and a projector with holiday movies on the wall. One of the best steak and frites in the city, hands down super tender and crispy hot fries!
