The dead come to life at Borracha. With decorative and festival skulls watching over guests, Borracha, located in Green Valley Ranch, is as dangerous as you want it to be. With a nod toward the famed Day of the Dead, the Borracha offers Mexican-inspired dishes and features a drink menu with an abundance of cervezas, tequila and specialty cocktails to take the edge off. The menu is as seductive as the surroundings, featuring sharable plates, inventive burritos and entrees that would make any skeleton want come back to life. Made-from-scratch tortillas and addictive tacos featuring rotisserie chicken, slow-cooked short ribs and fresh Baja fish gives your palate and explosion of flavor. A hand-painted floor and wraparound mural brings life to the intimate lounge and brings a festive vibe to the celebratory space.

Service was decent but food was less than desirable. Literally the WORST steak tacos I’ve ever eaten. Beans and rice had zero flavor and meat was dry and hard. Definitely NOT fresh. Chipotle would’ve been better. Definitely need to have a look at the kitchen and consider making some much needed changes in order to improve food quality.

Overall good experience. Wish we were handed the menu when we were seated as we waited 5-10 minutes twiddling our thumbs when we could have been looking at the menu. We suggested to the GM that the hostess give customers the menus as they are seated. Food was excellent. Only complaint is that the house margarita of medium size with mostly ice is $17 (on a Sat night).

Finally tried this restaurant after wanting to for some time, and it did not disappoint! From the warm welcome when we first arrived to the fresh chips and salsa that we received to start out the meal. Can I just say, I love a good Mexican restaurant with chips and salsa, and these were by far some of my favorite. They were fresh, and hot and seasoned just right!! The salsa was also just the right amount of spicy. Our server was so sweet, I’m sad I forgot her name but she was very attentive and always had a smile on. We were celebrating a birthday and made it during happy hour so of course we ordered house margaritas that were so good!! We ordered quite a few things from the happy hour menu as well as the dinner menu. Honestly everything was so good, we were so happy with everything… the carne asada sliders, the nachos, the fajitas, I mean everything was seasoned so well. We also liked the placement of all the tvs in the restaurant making it easy to watch the game. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy this restaurant again!

Great dining experience as always. The carnitas plate was delicious, but it did seem like a bit less meat than usual. The carne asada sliders on the happy hour menu are so good! We thought the salsa seemed a little different from before and we didn’t like it quite as much, although it was still very good. All in all, a very enjoyable meal. Thank you Borracha!

My husband and I have been going here for years. The food is great and their service is always excellent. They never skip a beat. One place we can always depend on that is consistent.

Food was really good! Bean and cheese dip was a favorite and the carnitas and shrimp tacos were amazing! Also our server was attentive and fun! Good time.
