   We’ve been to Julii and Melina before, and Bouboulina is an excellent addition to the Pike & Rose area! The crab roll appetizers were delicious, you HAVE to get one of the steaks, and cannot leave without the chocolate cake dessert. Incredible wait staff rounds out a really special dining experience.

   The service was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. Also best martini I’ve ever had!!

   Went to dinner there last night. Food was delicious, service was great, and the vibe was old school steakhouse. A bit expensive compared to Melina and julli, but worth it for a special occasion.

   First, the place is gorgeous and the service impeccable. Food- Shrimp app was delicious as well as the bread. However, the smoked butter for the bread was vile. It didn’t taste like smoke from a wood smoker. It literally tasted, and smelled exactly like an ashtray. I’m a big fan of smoked items… this was not executed well. Filet was amazing and so was the branzino. The lasagna, was just okay. Definitely could be much better with more sauce. Not worth ordering in the future. Chocolate cake was decadent and the espresso gelato was a huge winner. Cheesecake was not a typical flavor and I wouldn’t get it again. Drinks were good. I would definitely go back and try some of the other dishes.

   Great dinner and ambiance. The filet was very tender and tasty. We also had the carrots and branzino which were also delicious.

   This experience was everything I expected and more. The symbolic ambiance, exceptional service, and perfectly crafted meals placed at the table made for a night to remember. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable on the menu and provided excellent lightning fast service from start to finish. The crab rolls were a phenomenal starter, blending textures and explosions of flavor. Our table endulged for a special occasion tonight with Tomahawks, a filet, and lamp chops. All of which were incredible in their own right and beautifully prepared. The finale was a combination of all 3 dessert options finishing off our night. Every dish felt like its own beautiful crescendo and made for an electric dinner to remember.

   This spot definitely raises the bar for dining in Bethesda. The interior is beautifully decorated—chic but cozy, with a great vibe. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started with the chilled shrimp wrapped in fresh shiso (so good!)—super fresh and a generous portion. The lobster iceberg salad was both creative and satisfying. For the main course, we had the wagyu with roasted celeriac purée—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and the purée was a surprise hit: creamy, smooth, slightly sweet, and totally savory. I wasn’t expecting much from dessert, but the chocolate cake with espresso gelato was rich, decadent, and not too sweet—just right. Can’t wait to go back!
