“Arguably the best oyster bar of any white tablecloth restaurant in New Orleans” per the Times-Picayune, Dickie Brennan’s Bourbon House is all about local seafood. If it’s not in season, you won’t find it on the menu. Enjoy authentic New Orleans dishes and oysters on the half-shell in a lively atmosphere overlooking Bourbon Street.

Dickie Brennan and his culinary team have created an incredible menu of classic New Orleans dishes complemented by new favorites. Signature favorites include Gulf fish on the Halfshell and New Orleans style Barbeque Shrimp.

Bourbon is a central focus at the bar with 200 bourbons on the list. Bourbon House is the perfect place for a specialty cocktail or a straight pour of that hard to find small-batch whiskey.

No servizio ed attenzione a noi che non eravamo né locali né turisti americani. Servizio pessimo mi sono dovuto alzare per rubare i piatti e le posate dai tavoli vicini. MI sono alzato per prendere direttamente l'acqua dalla boule dove le caraffe erano riposte in quanto il cameriere prestava attenzione a tavoli di astanti penso locali. Il maitre passava senza guardare il tavolo.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bourbon House recently, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a delightful evening. The highlight, however, was undoubtedly the food prepared by Chef Jerrod, which was nothing short of spectacular. We started with an appetizer that was a perfect balance of flavors and textures, showcasing Chef Jarett’s incredible ability to elevate even the simplest ingredients. For the main course, I opted for the steak, cooked to perfection — tender, juicy, and beautifully seasoned. The side dishes were equally impressive, each one thoughtfully prepared and complementing the main dish wonderfully. Gavin, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations on both food and drink pairings. He had a great sense of timing and made sure we felt well taken care of without being intrusive. His service added an extra layer of warmth to the already welcoming atmosphere. Overall, Bourbon House offers an exceptional dining experience — the food, drinks, service, and desserts are all top-notch. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an outstanding meal with a warm, inviting atmosphere.

Our waiter, Hank, made our dinner a fantastic experience! He had excellent suggestions for drinks and food and was very attentive. Oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had.

For a non-brussel-sprout lover, anyone, whether they like them or not, should try this dish. The pork belly appetizer, bourbon shrimp, and shrimp and grits were also terrific

Overall a very disappointing experience, Started out with the server spilling our drinks all over the table and partially on myself. Took forever to get someone over to clean up the table, floor, etc. Waiter in the meantime went to his other tables, etc. Finally the table got cleaned off, new menus received and the drinks remade. This all toke at least 15-20 minutes. We sat probably another 10-15 till the waiter finally came back to take our dinner orders. When the food did come, it was OK at best. I had the blackened gulf fish and as I said, it was just OK. The seafood and sausage gumbo was also just OK. For what I paid, not the best meal. For all the trouble, nothing was taken off the bill which at least would have been something. Bottom line, there are better places in New Orleans.a

I’ve been here before and it was great. I brought a group of 8 here expecting the same. Tonight was completely different. The wait times for drink and food was terrible. They need to improve their entire kitchen and service process. They apologized for well over an hour while waiting on food and drinks. During the course of 2hrs, our table only managed to get served 2 drinks, and 7 of 8 dinners, then after another 30 minutes the final entree arrived. They offered free desserts, so we ordered some desserts. After 20 mins of waiting for free desserts, we had to leave. Terrible night for the Bourbon House on 12/10/2024. We were there from 6-9pm and I’m sure nothing improved later. We finally got up to leave and I had to find the waiter to pay. While offering to comp food or drinks is a nice gesture, we don’t want free stuff we just want great food and service. That’s why we came to your restaurant. Lots of better choices in New Orleans to spend your evening, instead of the Bourbon House.
