   No servizio ed attenzione a noi che non eravamo né locali né turisti americani. Servizio pessimo mi sono dovuto alzare per rubare i piatti e le posate dai tavoli vicini. MI sono alzato per prendere direttamente l'acqua dalla boule dove le caraffe erano riposte in quanto il cameriere prestava attenzione a tavoli di astanti penso locali. Il maitre passava senza guardare il tavolo.

   I have dined at Bourbon House many times in the past but it’s been a few years since we last visited as we moved further away. Our meal was adequate for nutrition but it was by no means the caliber it used to be. The salad was sad and limp and I had to ask for dressing as there seemed to be none. The entree was missing salt and not as flavorful as Creole dishes are known. The milk punch was not frozen and they got rid of the best dessert ever…the chocolate pecan crunch! What!!? Why would this ever be discontinued? I will not be back and am so sad to sad this.

   Great oyster bar with delicious red fish! I also really appreciated that they carried really top-shelf ginger beer since I’m not able to enjoy alcohol. For those who can, they had a huge wall of craft and small-batch bourbons.

   The service was very slow. Orders were mixed up. The quality of the food was mediocre. For what is supposed to be a classic New Orleans restaurant, it was disappointing.

   We had a 5 pm reservation and were celebrating a birthday and while the dining room was open we were sat by the front windows in the bar area. There was nothing special offered for birthday other than a chef hat. I was not impressed with the food for the dollar, there are better places that are more casual in the Quarter.

    Don was our waiter, he made you feel like you were his only table! Service was excellent,. This was my families second time in this restaurant and both time the food was great. And I must say the best part was Dons insights were completely spot on. The man knew his food.
