   Upon arrival, the first thing I noticed was that there was no kids’ menu. When I asked for one, they told me they didn’t have it, so I had to order my 8- and 10-year-old children a dish that cost almost $30 each, which was just pasta with red sauce and no protein. We tried a lot of their dishes including salads, appetizers, entrees and dessert. We ordered the green gnocchi and the lasagna. Both were tasty, but neither had much protein—just two slices of prosciutto in the case of the green gnocchi and the lasagna being a traditional one. The tiramisu was disappointing—it had a hard cookie in the center with a lot of cream, but it lacked any real coffee flavor. Whenever we dine out, the first thing we are usually asked is whether we have any allergies, but this time, no one asked. The green gnocchi actually had pecans in the center, which could be a serious issue for some guests. To top it off, the place was partially empty, with only three other tables occupied, yet there were five or six servers, and the floor was quite dirty, noticeably so. Honestly, what disappointed me the most was that it was not family-friendly at all. Italian culture is all about family, and this restaurant did not reflect that. Given the price vs. the experience, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

   Excellent filet carpaccio ! Sea bass was wonderful. We also like inferno And tomato basil pappardelle. Service was excellent.

   Yet another Italian restaurant that tries very hard. But sadly the food was subpar from the get go. The focaccia bread just tasted like dry stale bread, the fried burratta was cold and devoid of flavor (the meat sauce being the only saving grace), the pumpkin ravioli dish was ok, but the cheese sauce was too rich and didn't pair well with the ravioli, the teas they have are bottled, and the dessert left much to be desired with a rather milk chocolate forward lava cake. All in all, rather disappointed and will not be back

   Good food and great ambiance. Small place with limited seatings, but does not feel crowded.

   Good in general, the only disappointing is that they control the time in your table and ask you to leave

   It was my second visit to Luca Turci, this time with a dear friend -- this was her first time dining there. She was so impressed! We shared the delicious Sex Appear --pear carpaccio slices topped with truffle honey, balsamic, walnuts, Gorgonzola and arugula. Delicious, and a perfect shareable appetizer. We decided to split the buttery seabass with asparagus risotto and also share a serving of the Fettuccine three cheese -- so creamy and tasty. Love the by-the-glass wine list, as she drinks red and I drink white. I enjoyed two glasses of the pinot grigio and she found the perfect Italian cab. Our server was very good, not obtrusive but there when we needed him to refill a glass or bring an extra plate. I could sit outside among the twinkling fairy lights all evening -- Kudos to Luca Turci!

   They tried to seat us in a table that was so crammed in we could barely fit. Fortunately, they realized it want a good fit and moved us to a table with more room. The bread presented was really good..We ordered classic bruschetta and it came piled with tomatoes...tasted good, but there were so many tomatoes it was messy to eat. Would suggest less tomatoes so you can eat it without making a mess. For an entree we ordered the parapadelle it was good, but the sauce was not exceptional. Bottom line we liked it but feel overall it was not exceptional.

    The arched wire entry with lights and twisted greenery and table set-ups were delightful. The rest did not live up to its promise. The menu was extremely limited and we had to study it to find appealing dishes. The price fixe menu at $59 for four courses included mainly meatless entrees; with up-charges of $7 to $19 for the more substantial fare. The two glasses of wine special accompanying the price fixe menu was cheerfully priced at $15 for both but the pours were skimpy. The lamb and risotto entree ($55) turned out to be a bland lamb shank in a sea of cheesy risotto. The sea bass served on a bed of asparagus risotto ($49) garnered a more satisfying review. The tiramisu dessert was served in a tiny clay flower pot with a sprig of mint perched on a layer of mini chocolate chips. It was mostly cream, lacking the signature lady fingers and espresso flavor, nothing like the excellent tiramisu served at Turci Pasta in College Park. The coup de grace, however, came after our party of two couples had paid our hefty bill of $400, including tip. We were asked to vacate our table after two and a quarter hours, clearly signaling the restaurant is more interested in the business end of dining than providing a convivial and memorable experience. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
