Brasserie la Banque is a neighborhood French restaurant nestled in historic downtown Charleston, SC. Paying homage to traditional French cuisine in a lively and welcoming environment, Brasserie la Banque celebrates life's memorable moments from impromptu drinks to convivial gatherings and leisurely meals. Led by owner and industry veteran Steve Palmer of Indigo Road Hospitality Group, the restaurant is a culmination of Palmer's work and his passion for the classic French brasserie and its cuisine. The menu features a selection of traditional French dishes alongside more innovative fare. Aptly named for its previous role as a city bank, Brasserie la Banque is located within the iconic 1 Broad Street corner building that dates back to the 1700s.

The appetizers and dinner were good. The deserts were very disappointing - dried out pastry, tasteless mousse :(

I went to celebrate my Birthday and I couldn't be happier. The food was delicious and the service even better the staff surprised me with a Birthday card and flowers and they gifted the table with 2 delicious croissants that were so fresh. Highly recommend this place.

Amazing experience! They made our engagement dinner so special. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was romantic. Highly recommend!

Most of the food was served lukewarm. The waitress was great and the ambiance was perfect. We ordered the cold crab dip, the escargots, a filet, grouper, mashed potatoes and profiteroles. Everything, except the profiteroles, was underwhelming. The prices were high but the food did not rise to that.

Aside from waiting for a while to be seated past our reservation time it was a very enjoyable experience. Sat at the chef’s table.

This was the first time we’ve had food here that wasn’t all amazing. The quiche was lukewarm and its texture was rubbery rather than fluffy. Everything else was very good, just disappointed in the quiche as I expected better.
