The Brigantine is more than just home to some of San Diego’s finest seafood. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike come to share a lively atmosphere and authentic sense of community. The Morton family opened the first Brigantine on Shelter Island in 1969, with a vision that embraced the beach town lifestyle, a dedication to flavorful food, and a passion for friendly service.

Today, we’re known far and wide for our San Diego-style surf and turf. From our award-winning fish tacos and freshly shucked oysters, to classic filet mignon or our perpetually best-selling marinated grilled swordfish.                                                                         Delicious dinner with a beautiful view. The filet mignon is always delicious and they had a lobster tail and filet special on my wife's birthday. And the mud pie for dessert finished our dinner perfectly 👌.

                                                                        It was an amazing venue right on the water with a view of Coronado for a birthday celebration! The calamari and octopus appetizers were the best we had compared to other restaurants and the salmon and scallops were cooked perfectly! The service was excellent which made the evening memorable! We will be back!

                                                                        We love the Brig!! Especially at port side. We used to go to Anthony’s for years.. actually my whole upbringing! I was sad when it left, but love what it has become! We go to La mesa brigantine all the time. Keep Up the good work! Cheers!
