The Morton family opened the first Brigantine on Shelter Island in 1969, with a vision that embraced the beach town lifestyle, a dedication to flavorful food, and a passion for friendly service.

Amazing views of the bay and waterfront skyline. Surprisingly delectable seafood entrees as commented among my group of 5 with different seafood orders. But more surprising was the remarkably inexpensive price points for such quality dishes. Will definitely revisit on every trip to San Diego.

Our waiter Rob was great, he made the experience so much better. We took our toddler and he was so accommodating and understanding. The food was amazing. We ordered the surf and turf filet mignon and lobster- OUTSTANDING! The vibe was casual but very fun and beautiful views. Will be back forsure :)

Nice experience, beautiful location. Cold evening(we were seated outside and didn’t request) , made it more than a little uncomfortable. Overall the service by Trey was outstanding and the food was good and priced appropriately

Had guests from out-of-town. Made reservations early. Was seated in the bar area, surrounded by loud noise. Poor service at best!!!

Bad experience all around. It was clear when we showed up they were behind on reservations because tables had not gotten up. Rather than telling us it would be a few minutes. They decide to sit us outside when it was extremely windy and around 50°. No one else was sitting outside.

Local people at our hotel recommended this restaurant. We arrived at 6 PM and were seated at a little small table that looked like it was in the middle of a walkway. Eve our server said it was not a normal table location but was setup because it was too cold that Friday night for outside seating. We asked if there was a booth available because we saw empty booths close to our table. They said no booths available. The booth right next to us had 2 people and there were other open booths that were still vacant when we left the restaurant.. We spent over $220 on our dinner and a bottle of ZD Chardonnay and felt we were were deserving of a much better table. My Scallops were good but my wife was disappointed with her Macadamia Crusted Mahi. We did enjoy our Wedge salad. I cannot and will not recommend your restaurant to anyone because of the way we were seated. Our server Lukasz C was good but the lousy table ruined the whole evening.
