The Brigantine is more than just home to some of San Diego’s finest seafood. It’s a place where locals and visitors alike come to share a lively atmosphere and authentic sense of community. The Morton family opened the first Brigantine on Shelter Island in 1969, with a vision that embraced the beach town lifestyle, a dedication to flavorful food, and a passion for friendly service.

Today, we’re known far and wide for our San Diego-style surf and turf. From our award-winning fish tacos and freshly shucked oysters, to classic filet mignon or our perpetually best-selling marinated grilled swordfish. Victor and Lindsay at the bar on Saturday were phenomenal! We originally had plans to sit at a table, but they were so incredible and welcoming, we stayed right where we were. Food is fantastic Drinks equally as amazing Must try!

Very basic menu and I wasn’t impressed with the flavor of the food or the service. A meal I could have gotten at Cheesecake Factory.

We love this location because the views are great as well as the service and food are always excellent. We have not been disappointed by this Brigantine.

Best thing about this place is its location. Overall the experience wasn’t horrible, but I wouldn’t go back. The service was okay, our waiter was nice, but then disappeared towards the end, so I had to ask another waiter for the check after fifteen minutes of waiting on our guy. The ambience was also good, they had a good selection of songs playing a good volume. The food itself, which to me, is the most important part of the experience, was disappointing. My wife ordered a shrimp and lobster cobb salad that had a dressing that had a sour taste to it, which ruined the dish. I ordered the wok-charred ahi, which had a wasabi-shoyu sauce that did not have a good taste to it. Overall the experience was “okay” at best, and I think rating it as “okay” is me being nice.

Food was perfect. Everything was very calming and mo rushing at all. The Ahi was perfectly cooked and dont even get me started on the swordfish. 10/10 for everything.
