Home of the Green Chili Wontons, Louisville’s favorite guilty pleasure, Bristol Bar & Grille has been the city’s neighborhood restaurant since 1977. Original menu dishes include the classic Bristol Burger and aged, charbroiled New York Strip steak as well as favorites like Pork Dijonnaise and Theresa’s Sweet Chili Linguine. We source many of our ingredients from local farmers. An award-winning Sunday brunch buffet features made-to-order waffles, Weisenberger grits, fried chicken and a build your own Bloody Mary Bar. Bristol Bar & Grille Master Sommelier, Scott Harper, crafted an extensive wine menu to pair with each dish. Certified Bourbon Stewards are on hand to answer any questions about our native spirit. Bristol Bar & Grille downtown is located on the heart of Main Street. A member of the Urban Bourbon Trail, we are perfect for business lunches, family dinners, date night and private events.                                                               Prices are a little high for what you get. Wontons were over cooked. I believe they still struggle to provide quality food and service on busy theater days. Management issues.

                                                              The food was decent but the restaurant, as a whole, needs a facelift. The smell in the restaurant wasn’t pleasant but the woman’s restroom was even worse! There were floor tiles missing in the restroom and is need of paint and wallpaper replacement. The booth seats are in need of replacement as well as the entire place. On the positive side the wait staff was wonderful!

                                                              I'd highly recommend dining at the Bristol downtown. I've been a regular there for years and the specials, the appetizers of green chili wontons, entrees, nothing will disappoint. Service is attentive and not rushed, employees stop by to make you feel welcomed and valued as a guest. Everything my party had was delicious, and to top it off, lemon cheesecake for dessert.

                                                              We love to eat at the Bristol before Broadway Series shows. The food and service is always great. The location is perfect.

                                                              Food was good, but we felt rushed by the waitress. She kept telling us we need to order soon. Then when we ordered the pork chops, she told us those could take about an hour. We still wanted them and it took about 20 minutes. I know she just wanted to flip the table, but she made us uncomfortable
