Home of the Green Chili Wontons, Louisville’s favorite guilty pleasure, Bristol Bar & Grille has been the city’s neighborhood restaurant since 1977. Original menu dishes include the classic Bristol Burger and aged, charbroiled New York Strip steak as well as favorites like Pork Dijonnaise and Theresa’s Sweet Chili Linguine. We source many of our ingredients from local farmers. An award-winning Sunday brunch buffet features made-to-order waffles, Weisenberger grits, fried chicken and a build your own Bloody Mary Bar. Bristol Bar & Grille Master Sommelier, Scott Harper, crafted an extensive wine menu to pair with each dish. Certified Bourbon Stewards are on hand to answer any questions about our native spirit. We love the convenience and prompt service at Bristol on Main Street, for pre-performance dinners when we're heading to Kentucky Performing Arts Center afterward.

Drinks took 20 minutes to receive. 1 entree came late and was cold. Server was not very attentive. I was a server/bartender for years and usually dont give negative reviews but it was pretty embarrassing for me and my guests.

Excellent service. The special (boneless fried chicken, greens & smoked cheddar Mac & cheese) was delicious. Green chili wontons are always a table favorite. Pork dijonaise (with the large portion of fries) were super tasty.

Haven’t been to the downtown Bristol in awhile. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Service especially was excellent.

Our party of four had a meal before a Kentucky Center performance. Staff and server did a great job in getting our drinks, food order and check payment done in plenty of time to make the show. We had a total of 55 minutes for dinner due to traffic hold-ups. Very efficient and cheerful without being too pushy. Nice experience.

We recently had dinner before going to the orchestra. The service was great! Our waiter, Colin, was pleasant, attentive and timely. Our dinners came out in good time. The potatoes were superb! Unfortunately our entrees were overcooked (steak well, not medium, pork a little dry and tough) but we decided not to send them back.The sauces were too subtle, in fact bland. We have definitely had better meals there, so will probably try again another time.
