   È il bistrot dell’hotel Westin. Niente di male, ma non ce lo aspettavamo (non era specificato da nessuna parte). Atmosfera per questo un po’ anonima, ma ravvivata dal servizio gentile e assiduo di Juan. Ci ha consigliato molto bene: per me un lobster roll memorabile, per mio marito taco di ribs molto tenero e saporito (tanto che ha voluto il bis!). Io ho proseguito con il sea bass, buono ma più “normale”. Birre buone con varie opzioni, vastissima scelta di drink. Sempre molto ben guidati dai ragazzi del servizio. Prezzi corretti.    We have waited to try this restaurant for a while, due to the menu, which used to be very meat forward- but the menu has changed, and we are glad that we waited because each dish we ordered was innovative, tasty, and suitable for people who are pescatarians and even vegetarians ( the tofu street taco was so good that the pickiest carnivore would even approve!) presented by wait staff who are so caring and helpful ( Juan was our waiter and he was knowledgeable about the menu and so pleasant) that it made the experience that much more special. We will definitely be back- thank you for a relaxed, and delicious dining experience.

   We arrived late to our reservation, and were promptly and graciously seated quickly. Our waiter was great. The food was delicious, but not exceptional. The valet parking and discount for the theater was awesome!!

   This is a great place to eat before going to the theatre. Food is carefully prepared, delicious and priced right. We are always pleased.

   Pleasantly surprised at how good the food was…reviews were right! Staff was very friendly and apologized service was a bit slow due to a convention crowd.

   I have to express my sincere gratitude to Jessica, Juan, and Otto, the service staff we had the pleasure of being tend by. I made our reservations 5wks in advance. I left 90min from our reservation time to the time to check in for our 19:30 show time at the Balboa Theater. It was as expected... Juan greeted us warmly upon approaching the hosts podium. His polite conversation made my wife and I very relaxed. Our window side table was neatly prepared and ready for us. Juan took our drink order and relayed it to Jessica, our primary server for the evening. Jessica came by within a few minutes to inform us of the availability of my wife's favorite Moscato and of the Gin for my drink. Instead of leaving us puzzled for an alternative, Jessica was prepared with several great suggestions. We were very pleased with the suggestions Jessica made. Our appetizer arrived a few minutes after our drinks. This gave us sufficient time to waffle on our entree choices. Once again, we felt relaxed. The leisurely pace was exactly what we wanted. This allowed us to enjoy the pleasant ambience, the wonderful decor all around us, and ultimately, our meals. The menu selections were pleasing to our tastes. We decided on the Alaskan cod and vegetables; a very generous portion that we decided to split and avoid any to-go portions. The check came abd I was very pleased with the value of our drinks, appetizer, and meal. I left a note on the merchant copy of the receipt and a generous, well-deserved, gratuity. We highly enjoyed our dining experience with the Bronze Bird. I highly recommend this venue for your next dining experience in downtown SD.
