Brooklyn Crab in New York City is a Maryland style crab shack brought to the heart of New York. Overlooking the harbor, you can enjoy the outdoor patio dining and bar area all summer long or retreat to the comfortable inner dining room in the off season. One of the missions of Brooklyn Crab is to provide sustainable food to every visitor, so you can expect that in most cases the dishes will be sourced from local, sustainable sources. The menu includes seafood choices like fish and shrimp, fish, and sandwiches, as well as raw and chilled seafood. Dinner menus feature a selection of Snow crab, Alaskan King crab, Dungeness crab and fresh Maine lobster.

    We do events! Big or small! At Brooklyn Crab, we love to host parties! Annually we host many different types of events - including but not limited to birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, and holiday parties. ​ During our peak season, we can provide space in our outdoor backyard beer garden, Reed Park, or our Below Deck Bar. ​ In the winter, we enable guests to rent out the entire venue. Perfect for large holiday parties. ​ In order to secure a reservation, we require a minimum group size of 20 and a contracted party consisting of either a prix fixe menu or open bar & appetizers. ​ Please note, we do have a 7 day prior policy to contract any event.                                                         Location carina con rilassante vista sul mare, condizione abbastanza surreale visto che in pochi minuti di auto si passa della vista sui grattacieli di Manhattan a questo panorama distensivo. Da provare assolutamente il granchio.....ma che ve lo dico a fare....... Brooklyn Crab!!!!!!

                                                        Came here after visiting the aquarium. Really wanted crab. Was served crab that appeared to have been pre-boiled. When it was brought to the table, it was delivered in metal bowl that covered with a wood bowl that was to serve as the trash bowl for the crab legs (i.e. it was not in a typical bowl for seafood boil). The server did not remove the wood bowl from the metal bowl, so i removed it. The food was NOT steaming hot. It was just warm. i couldn't dig in because i was not served the bib and utensils; they were served about a minute later once the server realized he had forgotten them. by the time i was 1/3 way through my food it was cold. yuck. will not go here again. the ambiance was fantastic though. the food was overpriced and really the worst seafood i've had in recent memory.

                                                        Place has fun atmosphere but value for food is not there. Fish and chips were disappointing. My friend didn't eat it bc the fish is too thick and didn't taste very fresh. Got the pot for 2. It was about $100 market price and only came with one lobster and some crab legs and some corn. Definitely did not seem worth the price. It doesn't want to make me come back. Overprice for quality and value of food. Disappointing.

                                                        I had the crab cake. It was delicious, very generous on the crab meat, and tasted fresh. The staff are very friendly attentive, although they had a few large groups to attend to, including a table of 24! I would like to try it during the summer on an afternoon.

                                                        There was no dinner. We spent 30 dollars to get there, and the restaurante was closed! It was an insult! The restaurant simply act like nothing happened, and sent us no message even to apologize. I really hope that no one else have to go through this like we did.

                                                        the casual ambiance is clean and the food delicious. the price is quite reasonable and you should leave you at least two hours dor dinner or lunch to eat and enjoy. I was very well surprised with the quality of food and drinks as well as with the friendly service.

                                                        The oysters were so fresh yum!!!!! Service was kind of poor. Food took a while to come. Food was a little pricey but I’m not complaining. Ambience was excellent, excellent place for photos. By the water too! Overall, it was okay. I’d come again.

                                                        The food, as usual was very good. I love their crab. The service however was pretty lousy. We sat upstairs on a Friday night and it was not that busy. Got there for an 8:30 reservation and our waitress seemed solid to start off with, but as the night progressed we felt invisible. We were sat in a far corner (which is fine by us as our group of 4 tends to be a little noisy) but were rarely checked in on. Crab came to the table and we were not given any crackers. After about 5 - 10 minutes I got up and went over to a busser and asked if they could bring us some crackers for the crab. He brought over 2 and there were 4 of us. I asked him if he could grab 2 more and they never came. We shared the 2 crackers for about half the meal and then our waitress came over with the 2 missing crackers I'd estimate about 15 minutes after the food hit the table. - she was nice, just inattentive, which is strange because it didn't seem that busy.
