Since 2004, Brussels Bistro has brought the best in Belgium flavors to the heart of Laguna Beach. Relax on the terrace with a premium Belgian beer or dine underground in our casual-urban setting. Offering Belgian cuisine with a French flair, our Executive Chef, Thomas Crijns has created a superb menu of authentic dishes ranging from Beef Bourguignon to Steamed Mussels. Complimenting our wide variety of imported Belgian beers are mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres including Cheese Croquettes and our world-famous Belgian Fries. Alla ricerca di un posto in centro per cenare abbiamo letto le ottime recensioni di questo locale e quindi abbiamo deciso di provarlo. Le aspettative non sono rimaste deluse: freschissime le cozze, molto buono l’hamburger artigianale, interessanti le birre

We enjoyed the Meatballs Liégeoise with rice and it was fabulous. The meatballs were beef and pork with yellow raisins and had a delicious sweet and sour gravy. In my opinion, Brussels has the best bread of any restaurant. The staff are welcoming and professional. A must to try.

The food was average overall, but the service and ambience were both excellent. Prices are very fair—some of the best value meals you'll find in Laguna. The space feels especially cozy on a cold winter night. Standouts: The Mushroom Soup with Puff Pastry is outstanding. The “Frittes” are consistently good, especially when paired with seafood or a beef entrée. Less Impressive: The mussels were fresh and generously portioned but ultimately underwhelming in flavor. Bottom line: This is a great casual bistro for a burger, fries, and Belgian beer. For those looking to elevate the experience, the Boeuf Bourguignon and Trout Almondine are both excellent choices at reasonable price points.

Another fabulous, festive and fun evening at Brussels Bistro. We started with a smoked salmon appetizer, a couple Belgian beers and later indulged ourselves with a two lb bucket of yummy fresh mussels and fries. Service was excellent … one of my favorite spots in Laguna Beach. Cheers 🍻
