Welcome to Bucatino Trattoria Romana, We are an authentic Roman Italian restaurant with homemade mozzarellas, homemade pasta, desserts and more. Our specialty is homemade tick hollow pasta in four different recipes. With a beautiful roman decor, rustic, casual but modern ambiance plus a large bar, spacious dining room, plus a private room up to 50 people for large parties, a wonderful patio for dining al fresco, plenty of parking that will make your experience very pleasant and authentic. food was horrid, super cheap quality food and it was all cold like it had been sitting out all night, the bread was stale and ice cold, what a waste of $55 a person

We went here for valentines day and the food and service was pretty poor. I'm curious if it's better on more typical evenings, but they clearly tried to jam as many people into the place for valentines day and couldn't keep up with it all. Everyone in the restaurant seemed upset or to be complaining about the food. Seems like they bit off more than they could chew on a busy night.

We went for the first time for Valentine's so our experience may be different from regular nights. They were overbooked and understaffed so the service was far below our expectations. We will try them a 2nd time.

We came for their Valentine's Day menu. The food was exceptional, but they were out of GF bread which the server said they usually have. The main dining room was bright, loud and crowded, but we were put in the back room, which was a little smaller, more dimly lit and less crowded. The tables were plain (no tablecloths and no candle) and some of the tables were wrought iron outdoor furniture, I suspect brought in to accommodate the crowd. Our server seemed overwhelmed/scattered/inattentive. It took forever to get our drinks, I was out of water for at least 30 minutes and he never came back to refill my hubby's coffee which would have been greatly appreciated during dessert. Because the food was so good, I could forgive the service. I will give them another chance when it is not such a busy night.

Valentines Day. Decent meal except for poor cut of steak (NY Strip) and too much butter on vegetables. Desserts very good, $38 bottle of wine not the best but adequate. We enjoyed ourselves but far too many tables tightly squeezed together for a special occasion evening. Service was very good although slightly rushed at times. Would have been better experience if patrons were not so tightly situated (my seat back was nearly touching the table next to me). Not disappointing but not remarkable. We may give it another try and focus on some traditional pasta dishes.

Although I did mark down a little on ambience (a refurbished Chinese restaurant), it was perfectly fine and representative of the best that this area seems to offer. And the price took a hit due to this being a pre fixe menu on Valentines Day, pricer than usually but again, similar to other offerings in this area. But they had plenty of staff on a very busy holiday, service was excellent, and the food was very fresh, well made, and delicious. Highly recommend.

Sorry to say, but I just had the worst restaurant experience I can remember having in the last decade. We arrived at 6:20 for a 6:30 reservation, we sat at our table for almost 15 minutes before anyone came over for anything. I got up to speak to the manager at 6:48 at which point our cocktail order had been taken but nothing but water (that we had to ask for) was delivered. We did not receive a cocktail until 30 minutes after being seated and still had to ask for bread. After speaking to the manager nothing improved. Our waiter, Evan, was obviously new and perhaps overwhelmed, but after I had talked to the manager I would have thought he would have stepped in to assist. He did not check on us a single time throughout the evening until we were leaving. I ordered a Peroni only to be told that the bartender poured nothing but foam, I wasn’t offered any options for a replacement or even offered to see the cocktail menu. Our whole party of 6 was completely turned off by the experience, our entire bill was about $300 and could have easily been double that with just half decent service. We had to ask for water THREE times. The food was tasty, but unfortunately it was tepid when served. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the manager upon leaving and again, nothing was even attempted to make amends. We had high hopes as we had heard good things, but we won’t be returning after a horrendous experience in an establishment that was far from capacity.
