We invite you to visit us at Middle Head in Mosman. Originally built in the 1920's to be the Clubhouse for Mosman Golf Club, Burnt Orange is a historic & beautiful space, located just 20 minutes from Sydney CBD. Dine on the large wrap around balcony, with stunning harbour views & enjoy our bushland surrounds. Our restaurant is open daily from 8:30am, serving delicious breakfast, lunch & our famous high tea, while our gift store is home to a unique and eclectic selection of homewares & gifts. This was about the sixth time I’ve been to Burnt Orange and it was my Birthday.This went unrecognised. I had received an email saying that for the Month of March there was a special deal of a $35 Main plus a Complimentary glass of wine. We were not offered this special and on enquiring , the person waiting on our table was extremely dismissive and said that she didn’t think the deal had started yet! This was the fifth of March and so not sure when the special was intended to commence? The service was poor in that nothing was really offered ,we had to ask for everything and no anticipation of our needs. Also smiles cost nothing. Definitely not up to their usual standard of service and disappointing birthday treat.

It was pouring rain so not busy excellent service nothing outstanding for breakfast but maybe it was what I chose

We left the place very disapointed. Three of us orderd Vegetarian tasting platter each. Apart from poor presentation three out of eight ingrediants were not on the plate. Tempura zucchini flower, grilled halloumi and mixed breads. Instead of the first two we got rice balls and only white bread roll. When we made comment to the waiter he just shrugged his shoulders. Not a word of apology. Food and parking are overpriced. Only good thing about the place is the view. But you can not run successful restaurant based only on that. Next time we will bring sandwiches and sit on the nearby bench to enjoy the view without feeling cheated. One thing is sure, we will not be going back there.
