Excellent food, wine and service. It was really quiet though (and the lighting very bright) which resulted in a slight lack of ambience and made it feel like a daytime venue which had stayed open late. I’d suggest some more subtle lighting in the evening and perhaps some more marketing as the food itself was great.

I had linguine aglio e olio that was wonderful and really tasty, roast potatos on the side that was perfectly made. Loved the restaurant and the atmosphere

We are locals, living in Fish Island, never new Burnt Umber serve such delicate, high quality food based on French cousin. It was simply super nice - will definitely come back.

Me and my family are regular Burnt Umber customers, love this place, we come usually for brunch and have been waiting for dinner service for a while. Dinner proves high quality, freshness, great presentations - it has it all great. Well done BU.

After proposing to my wife we went to Burnt Umber for the special occasion and it was nothing short of brilliant. We had a great time and the hosts were amazing after hearing our special news!

We booked tickets for ABBA concert and searched for a place near ABBA venue, Burnt Umber seemed to be a good place for a dinner as we didn't wont to go Westfield neither to eat street food. Food was great and wine is in the range of £6-£8 - a good value for money!

We had tickets to Bar90 in Hackney Wick, searched for a place to eat. Dinner was absolutely amazing, this place will just opened for dinners recently but soon I will get very busy, for sure!

My experience at Burnt Umber was nothing short of exceptional. The dinner menu, infused with contemporary European influences, offered a variety of exquisite dishes. The starters set a high standard, with the creamy burrata and roasted peppers being a standout. It was not just the food that impressed; the wine list was extensive, providing perfect pairings for each course. I particularly enjoyed the recommended wine with my main course, the seared Scottish salmon, which was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. The atmosphere of the restaurant added to the overall experience - it was elegantly decorated, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff were exceptional, striking the perfect balance between professional and personable. They were attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations. While the prices were on the higher side, they were justified by the quality of the ingredients and the skill in preparation. Burnt Umber is a true gem, ideal for special occasions or for those who appreciate fine dining. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
