We are fine-casual dining with a fire at the core of its heart. Through the smoke and whiskey ashes of the previous iteration which closed its doors in 2020 rises a new haze of smoke and whiskey as we bring back this iconic brand, smoked meats, bourbon, beer, deep hues, and various spaces to a new location in the North Loop. Butcher & The Boar will honor its beloved roots, while spreading new ones in the fresh foundation that will help our guests embark on a journey with notes of nostalgia that carry the torch forward with new tastes and experiences.

The ambiance here is rustic, classy, with a bit of a winery feel. Really enjoyed that. We partook in the brunch with a group, but they were a bit slow in service and taking orders. They cut off what we could order suddenly and was told that the chef was no longer making particular items! What a bummer! They were not packed so I was uncertain why the wait was so slow. Took about 30 mins just to get drinks! Food was tasty, but not particularly what I wanted. I will give them another shot, but not with a group!

Food was great. Servi e was a bit slow even though it wasn't overly busy. Possibly shorthanded? Will try again.

Went to dinner at Butcher and The Boar for a joint 40th BDay for my wife and friend. The birthday girls were immediately greeted with cards at the front desk when we arrived. The place has great food, drinks and ambience. While the menu is heavily focused on meat, the Brussels Sprouts were so good they may have been the best dish we had. The new space is great and the Char Bar speakeasy is well worth the trip alone. It has a very chill atmosphere and excellent cocktails.

Beautiful restaurant. Went for brunch and it was so charming. Great service, great atmosphere. The size of the entrees varied tremendously between options. Short ribs entree is a big boy meal! Lots of food and delicious. Pork chop meal much smaller. Not a criticism, just an observation.

Great atmosphere and place to grab a drink. Appetizers were delicious, but our entrees were just average. Nothing to write home about, especially at that price point.

Every item ordered was great. Beef rib and the Mac and cheese were incredible. Even the mocktails were carefully crafted and complex. Our entire party was thoroughly impressed.

Used to be much better. They were out of 2 dishes and the menu doesn’t have a ton of varied cuts to compensate well. They tried to make it right, but provided us with a cake that unfortunately I was unable to eat due to allergies.
