   We’ve had great food and service at Butch’s twice, but sadly when we took out of town guests, it was not good. My very expensive steak was so salty and the potatoes were salty, very dry and tasteless. So disappointing since it was a birthday (they evidently don’t do anything for birthdays), and we took people there. For this price point, service and food quality have to be good every single time. I’ll try one more time and I’m hoping it was a bad night.

   We’ve had great meals in the past, until last night. Two of the meals were lukewarm when they arrived at the table and the buratta chicken was sitting in liquid, making the fried chicken cutlet soggy. Our waitress never checked on our food until we were done with our meals. I mentioned the liquid under the chicken and it was obvious in the plate as I had only eaten a few bites. She said, “it’s a butter sauce”. It didn’t taste like butter and made the chicken very soggy and unappealing. The other two meals were eaten, but were not very warm. The waitress seemed annoyed and tossed a dessert menu on the table and told us the manager offered a free dessert. We declined, then she took half off the entrees which was nice, but the manager never came over after she told him our concerns. Likely will not go back.

   The food was really good, but the problem was they ran out of the dish I originally wanted. Then I ordered my 2nd choice and they ran out of that too. They did have my 3rd choice, however it wasn’t what I really wanted.

    We enjoyed a fabulous bottle of wine, delicious food including some oysters and a special night out. Butch’s is great!
