                                                                    We enjoyed our meal at By George. The restaurant is very nice. We started with a drink at the bar. The bartenders are outstanding, attentive, friendly, and do a great job. Afterwards, we were seated and began our dinner with the charcuterie which was really tasty. For our mains, I had the trout. My husband had the lamb lollipops. Both were really good. We also ordered a side of the mashed potatoes. This was the only miss of the evening. We found the potatoes bland, dry, and kind of cold. As a result, we didn't really eat much of these. When our server checked back, we told him of this, but he didn't do anything and sure enough, they were on our bill. Otherwise, everything was great and we will return again soon.

                                                                    This was my first time dining at “by George”. I made reservations here to celebrate my bestfriend birthday and experience was truly immaculate. From the blissful ambience to the tasteful food. My server was exceptional with catering to our needs and the acknowledgement of the celebration. By George is definitely a must visit and I will be back again.

                                                                    I tiki my family here for dinner to celebrate my Grandson’s 4th Birthday. Everyone wished him Happy Birthday from the hostess to all of the servers. They brought him a dessert of four ice creams with a candle on each scoop. Now to the food - They were out of shrimp for the shrimp and grits so they substituted lobster for a small charge and it was delicious. The scallops were delightful, so tender and moist. The mussels appetizer was so savory. You have to get the biscuits. Cocktails were great, especially my margarita. Our server Elida was outstanding and very professional and kind. 5 STARS ALL AROUND.

                                                                    Our server was very nice, but we waited 2 hours for our entrees. After the wait my steak was over cooked, but I kept it because I didn’t want to wait another 2 hours. Our appetizers were good. Not the experience I expected.

                                                                    Great dinner after exciting Peach Bowl football game. We were delighted to find that there is a fantastic restaurant right in the Candler Hotel where we were staying. By George is named for the architects who designed this beautiful historic building. Our amazing server James gave us the "backstage" tour after a wonderful meal. Ask for him! We had lovely cocktails and yummy fluffy biscuits for appetizers, then thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. I had the fresh North Carolina trout and shared the yummy brussels sprouts with the table. My husband and sister enjoyed the lambshanks and my brother-in-law had shrimp and grits. The ambiance is elegant but not stuffy. Highly recommend.
