Clark and Schwenk, friends over the years, discussed starting a place of their own and traded ideas over what the menu would be like. Finally, at the beginning of 2007, they felt ready to strike out on their own and made that vision happen. “I looked around Atlanta and saw a need for a really good old-school restaurant,” Clark says. That restaurant would become C&S Oyster Bar, specializing in classic New York and Paris brasserie-style cuisine. Clark possesses a passion for French cuisine and claims that it comes from the French’s appreciation for balance. Their focus on vegetables, fish, and meat as the primary vehicles of flavor allow for emphasis to be placed on the freshness of the ingredients.

Great lunch. Fresh oysters, tuna tartare, spring rolls, octopus-all excellent! Great salads as well. Our service with Dylan was fantastic. Will be back !!

Food and servers were excellent. It was a bit noisy but we were sitting close to the bar. Definitely would go again.

Celebration dinner. Bridget was wonderful. Dinner was great - steaks cooked perfectly. The darkness was a bit much, feeling of closed in atop closeness. The noise was a bit overwhelming. Actually suffered hearing threshold shift as I came out of the restaurant still talking very loud. The quality of food and service almost made up for too much noise. It'll be awhile before we return.

My hubby and I went to C&S for a lunch out - the service was amazing! Be sure to ask for Dylan if you go there. Chargrilled oysters and Crab Louie were delicious! Chocolate Fondant was one of the best desserts we've ever had.
