Cabin Bar and Grill in Big Sky, Montana is located in the heart of town and offers fantastic views of the scenic mountain village. As it's within walking distance of the shops, hotels and condominiums, it's a very popular eatery for tourists, but Cabin Bar and Grill also enjoys its fair share of local patrons.

Enjoy casual fine dining in a warm and inviting Montana atmosphere. Our enormous windows and deck look out to snow covered ski runs in the winter and hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer. Our culinary team uses many regional ingredients to create a truly delectable menu including hand cut steaks, wild game, fresh seafood and nightly specials. Take in beautiful mountainside views of snow covered slopes in the winter and hiking and mountain biking trails in the summer.

                                We had trout, steak, elk and walleye all was fantastic! They even had a gluten free menu and a wonderful gluten free chocolate dessert!

                                Very friendly staff but prices were high for what they offer. Also, when I ordered, I specified my allergies and they assured me that I was fine with what I ordered but when the dish came it had food I couldn't eat. The waiter was apologetic but it shouldn't have happened.

                                The experienced was greatly enhanced by the fantastic service. Food was delicious. Prices extremely reasonable for wine & starters. The entree prices are a bit high ranging from $48 - $60. We shared an entree and it was delicious and plenty of food. Given the price of the entree ($57) I thought the split plate charge of $7.50 was a bit excessive. That was the only negative of the entire experience.

                                Food was very good as usual. Cabin salad was nicely sized for the price. Elk tenderloin was done perfectly and a good portion for the price. Polenta sude was tasty. Service was excellent. Only comments were: (1) dining room is a bit cold and (2) very disappointed on the amount of seasonal vegetable that came with the dish as it was more of a garnish. I got 3 baby snow peas and one tiny piece of carrot. Either serve a decent number of veggies or don't list them with the dish on the menu and make them a separate order. But for $64 I would hope to get a few more veggies.

                                Best restaurant in the mountain village. It seems everyone work hard at the restaurant so that you have excellent service. The elk was incredible. What a great dinner. Thank you

                                The environment is nice - perhaps a mix of mountain, Montana, and old hunting cabin would best describe it. The service was efficient and practiced... nothing to celebrate or find interesting. The menu featured local meats which was nice to see and the preparations sounded interesting. But it all ended up feeling about the same to the 6 of us who all ate different things from elk to bison to trout. The salads were sad. The prices were what I would call "high resort."
