The Café Brio, located in Victoria, has been a local favorite for twenty six years, serving up a rustic, Italian inspired menu. Focusing on regional products, Café Brio led by multi awarded Chef Sam Harris selects the highest quality ingredients from local sources to be used in authentic, creative dishes.

At Café Brio, everything is prepared in house. Pasta favorites include gnocchi with roasted leeks, parmesan cream and basil purée, Spaghettini with tomato, garlic, basil, olive oil and parmigiano and also our wild mushroom risotto. From the Sea enjoy seared scallops with peroxides, delicata squash, carmelo and bacon anchovy vinaigrette or our local fish feature. Lastly the Parry Bay Lamb feature from our friends out in Metchosin is an absolute must.

The wine list is extensive with input from multiple Sommeliers on staff always excited to share their new favourite bottle in our unique and cozy dining room.

My friend and I had a lovely dinner at the bar. The staff were very attentive and made excellent recommendations on dishes and wines. I liked that we could order half sizes of the entrees, and that sharing family style was easy. Everything was delicious. I couldn't pick a favourite item.

We went for dinner on Valentine's Day and are so glad we did! Everything was perfect, honestly. I can't remember the last time I gave a 5 star (across the board) review but this restaurant deserves it. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back! The funny thing is that we went here once about 15 years ago and had a so-so experience and never returned even though so many people have raved about it for so long. I'm so glad we gave it another go, just wish we'd done it sooner.

Cafe Brio is such a treasure! We have enjoyed eating there since they first opened. The new owners seem to be carrying on with the traditions established by the original owners. The food was marvelous. Our waiter was very attentive and had a great sense of humor. The art and venue is stunning.

Going forward I have noted in your guest profile that you prefer to sit in the alcove or a booth, both options tend to have a calmer environment. A busy place but well-staffed. Food excellent and I appreciated the avilability of half orders on the entrees. My first visit and I'll definitely return. Bar seating was all that was possible for me with a late reservation but the bar stools - wth no back rests - will encourage me to reserve sooner!
