Café Deco is a restaurant & wine bar in Bloomsbury. We serve classic, broadly European food, with a focus on the best possible ingredients. To keep in step with the seasons - and to keep life interesting - we change our menu every week. And we do the same with our wines too - sourcing the most delicious bottles we can find from small producers who work with minimal intervention, sustainably and with respect for the land and the vine. Our list is always changing and we love nothing more than to help you pick the perfect thing to drink.

Nestled in our little corner of central London, our terrace buzzes on warm sunny days into the evening and inside hums to the sound of conversation all year. We want you to feel welcome, looked after and at home.

    Such lovely place. Food was fab and staff were super friendly and helpful …. but you do need to like your wine on the natural side.

    The starter speciality at Cafe Deco is Egg Mayonnaise and it is delicious and simple. Our Chicken Paprika with Mash was also excellent.

    It is one thing to prepare excellent food every day but it is far more challenging to do it when the menu changes totally every week. Somehow Cafe Deco manages to do it. It is consistently excellent.

    The ribollita was served tepid on a cold day. Ribollita is a hot soup! The leek vinaigrette turned out to be a leek with egg and mayonnaise. Quite wrong. The Stuffed cabbage was tasteless. The English breakfast tea was bitter and undrinkable and served in a small cappuccino cup instead of properly in a pot. The pheasant partridge and chicken pie was overly salted and one couldn’t distinguish the different meats. The waiting staff didn’t have a clue.

    Such great food - simple and full of flavour, v charming hosts/chefs. Exactly what we were after.

    Nice quiet atmosphere so different from many brasserie type places. Good unusual food. Very friendly service

    Really loved the food and the staff were great, however, it felt like they'd completely overbooked the place. People were sat so close to each other that staff had to squeeze between to get to your table. When we ordered, we expected items to come out gradually, but they came out almost one after another without them waiting for us to finish the first dishes. Everything felt a little rushed. It seems now they've become more popular that they've slacked a little on the service. Lovely food, but the service wasn't as expected from such a great spot.
