The next stop on our Global Italian dinner series is the countries of Ethiopia/Eritrea. Join us Saturday or Sunday, March 1&2 for a five-course dinner (w/ surprises) that you won't want to miss! The dinner, created in conversation with Bilena Settepani, will not only explore the intersection of Italian & Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine through Italy's invasion of Abyssinia—but also through the personal lens of Bilena’s palate and senses enriched by growing up in NYC of Italian and Eritrean parents. Come see how injera can be manicotti filled with doro wat, berbere spice can be not just hot but oh so cold, a taste of jebena buna (coffee) with all its ceremonies, and our version of an Italian dessert that has been a staple of Addis and Asmara for decades. For parties of more than four guests, we offer a pre-fixe menu that showcases our favorite menu items and our favorite way to dine -- family style! For this menu, the party will receive an array of snacks, followed by an antipasti course. Then, all four of our house made pastas and a couple of big dishes will round out the meal. To finish, you'll get to try all of our desserts!
