Café Napoli is a family owned restaurant, established in 1989 by Tony and Kathy Pietoso. Quickly becoming a success, they moved the small basement restaurant to a larger location at the corner of Forsyth and Bemiston in the heart of Clayton. In 2003, sons Ande and Kye expanded their family restaurant by adding Bar Napoli, a swank cocktail lounge. A few years later, Napoli Reserve was added onto Bar Napoli allowing for private event space and an additional bar and lounge for the weekends. After years of a flourishing business, Kathy and Tony decided to take their ventures West to Town and Country where they opened their second location, Napoli2, managed by Ande. Kye has taken the reigns from his father and is now the front man for the 8,000 square foot establishment in Clayton. Café Napoli and Bar Napoli have recently undergone a face lift inside and out. Inside the kitchen, Executive Chef from Napoli2 Jon Berger was recently added to the team, bringing fresh ideas and innovation to the regional Italian specialties.

      Cafe Napoli remains one of the gold standards in St. Louis. Consistently excellent food and service. We go there 4x a year or so, and have ever had a bad experience.

      The food is very good and the staff is amazing. Such a good group of friendly professionals. Most have been there quite a long time which I appreciate.

      Excellent service. And the drinks and food were great. Halibut, pasta, and meat balls all exceptional!

      Food was excellent and service exceptional. We had a party of 7 that included a 4 yo, a 7 yo and a 13 yo. Our server Sarah ( I think) was so good with the kids and all the adults for that matter explaining the menu and specials. We enjoyed shrimp scampi, sea bass, steak, pasta, lamb chops, truffle ravioli, calamari and a few bottles of Chianti. All excellent and well presented. Special shout out to Sarah, she was fantastic! Not a place I would usually take kids but there we were and everyone was very gracious.

      I have lived in Saint Louis for five years and only discovered Cafe Napoli a few months ago and it immediately became my favorite Italian restaurant. It checked all the boxes. It’s consistently excellent.

      I had dinner with 2 customers and overall the event went really well. Service was impecable and food was very good. The steak needed a little bit more seasoning, but the rest of the dishes were amazing. The only negative that I could mention is that the noice level inside the restaurant can get quite high and makes it difficult to have a conversation.

      Lovely experience, start to finish. We shared the mussels and then each ordered the halibut special. Enjoyed them both. Finished off with the white chocolate bread pudding, which was incredibly delicious. Look forward to returning!

      Good. Veal chop was tender, but way past medium rare. I feel nickled and dimed when when I have to pay $2.50 for soda water when I spent $600 including tip for 3. Enjoyed $150 bottle of wine.
