   Very quiet so staff chatting round the bar. I had a piece of bread with my soup just about big enough for a mouse. Main course was good and service ok.

   Lovely welcome from staff with a good atmosphere. Wasn’t overly satisfied with our food choice, but food is usually good otherwise. And love the cappuccino

   Was very disappointed. We were a party of 3 and reserved the table. We ordered our food at 6.20 and did not receive the food until 7.15. This was unacceptable as we were going to the theatre and only had 10 mins to eat it. We were on the verge of leaving when the food arrived. I would not recommend it if you were going to the theatre. It spoilt the whole evening.

   Pleasant staff, tasty food but so slow. Table booked and arrived at 5pm- order taken 5.15 with hardly anyone in the restaurant; first course arrived 5.40 ( and although very tasty the mushroom vol au vent had been microwaved and gone cold - with soggy pastry. Main courses, after reminding waiter, arrived at 6.25 with an apology. We were due at theatre at 7pm so no dessert! House wine very pleasant and set menu meal good value.

   The food was OK, but nothing special. My chicken lacked seasoning. The fish cakes of old had morphed into one fish cake and the fries are now served in a silver cup (which means you get fewer). Wine was over priced. Not the best choice for lunch as far as I'm concerned.

   We had a lovely breakfast, all the orders came out at the same time except for one that we asked to have early, that was good service. Food was delicious and they gave us alternate options from the menu

   Love everything about the restaurant , the food, the staff I loved the duck and we were not in a hurry. Loved it

   Cafe Rouge has never let me down, although I only get the chance to visit when in Brighton or Bromley the service and food has always been presented well, tastes great, fresh,and excellent value for money. The staff have always been very polite and attentive.

    Good food and and very helpful staff - especially when one of us spilled a cup of coffee. Situtation handled quickly and without fuss.
