   Have been to this Café Rouge many times and have never been disappointed. In fact me and my mother have had Christmas Day lunch here 3 times. Staff are friendly and some remember you from a previous visit, which is remarkable in such a busy restaurant. Well recommended, you wont be let down and there are nearly always offers you can take advantage of if you go online.

   My 52 yr old daughter and I met for the first time this year and I wanted to introduce her to my favourite cousin. So we had lunch at The Cafe Rouge toi make the intoductions

   Cafe Rouge never disappoints, I am a regular at the Haywards Heath branch and they are a lovely bunch, food is always good. I have used Cafe Rouge for a group meal before Christmas for several years as I can rely on good service and good food

   How many adjectives can I use for the word, 'Poor' so I will leave it at that? The only reason we gave Cafe Rouge another chance after so many years' of previous mediocre meals was because they had finally realised that it might be a good idea to start offering a traditional roast on Sunday, along with the full menu. How wrong we were. We both opted for the roasted sirloin that we requested to be served as rare as possible. What we received was an odd combination of rare and tough in the middle and crispy and tough on the outside edge, clearly because the roasted joint was left under a heating lamp so that it was ready for serving after it has been cooked. Two slices that were absolutely revolting. Served alongside this was an insipid selection of veg including a couple of chunks of carrots, a few tiny pieces of broccoli, some dried up parsnips, roasted potatoes that were obviously not freshly peeled and out of a freezer bag and the cheapest, tiniest frozen Yorkshire Puddings with a minuscule pot of gravy. What an awful meal. Since the roast is offered as a 2 or 3 course, fortunately we had both had the Rillettes as a started to help fill us up, otherwise we would have gone hungry and although we could have complained and had these terrible meals replaced, we just could not be bothered due to our previous experience with their menu, so we will not be returning to Cafe Rouge, Haywards Heath. Alongside a dreadful bottle of French Malbec, this meal came to £65- including service, which was pretty good and our French waiter was very sympathetic to our complaints; obviously not the first time he had heard them. My advice: stay home or go to Cote or anywhere elsewhere for Sunday lunch and it now figures why so many around us were opting for baguettes instead of this slop!

   Staff were very nice but sadly overall the experience wasn't great. Food wasn't cooked particularly well and we sent both starters back - a bit of a disappointment

   The restaurant staff were friendly & very accommodating. Quality of meals though were rather mixed. The French based selections were of excellent quality although English roast cold with grisly beef & the hake crumb coating over cooked. If dining here select the French options.    We chose Cafe Rouge in Haywards Heath for a Bank Holiday Monday evening meal because we love this restaurant! We always have excellent food & service here. The atmosphere is fantastic & everyone is welcome. We have been customers here since we moved to Sussex over 20 years ago & we have always been made very welcome whether we are having a romantic meal for two, a family meal with a baby or with teenagers or a visit with friends. Cafe Rouge Haywards Heath is an oasis of France in the centre of Haywards Heath. Thank you to all the Cafe Rouge Teams that have made our trips to you so memorable for so long. We are looking forward to our next trip!

    Such a good position and outside dining very comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Food portions rather small hence making it rather expensive for what you get
