   We are a group of 6 who eat supper together every Wednesday evening and we often go to Café Rouge in Hitchin. Wednesday was Valentines night so it made sense to have the special menu which was fine. The restaurant was fairly busy but service was not affected.

   The food at hitchin cafe rouge is always at a very good standard. I am aware some elements aerial pre prepared hence only 4 star rating

   Visiting Café Rouge in Hitchin is always a good experience. Good food, great value and friendly efficient staff. I use this restaurant regularly and take friends who have never experienced it.

   We had the twice baked soufflé, which was delightful, followed by excellent fillet steak. The service was good .

   Despite advertising for two course meal @ £12.95, was told on arrival that it only applied to starters and mains and not mains and desserts. Charged £12.95 for a single course from this menu & told Gourmet Society card giving discount not applicable because this is a special menu! Overcharged & poor service

   We had a voucher on the 2-1 breakfast. Was really busy and very good value. Food was good - reasonably priced and a trusted place to go if you fancy some food.

    Cafe Touge is a favourite venue for us either to eat as a couple or to meet/invite friends too. Always excellent welcome and service
