   When in San Diego on business, I set up breakfast meetings for two different days with different clients. To be sure that we were able to meet promptly, I made Open Table reservations. Imagine my surprise and embarrassment when I arrived at the restaurant to see a paper sign on the door announcing it had changed it's hours as was not open. So much for my reservation and so much for a productive meeting.

   Nice evening dinner for San Diego Restaurant Week with my out of town guest and my toddler. Comfortable seating which is a big plus for me. Huge space, great menu. Our service was average, and kitchen was slow getting our dishes but I believe that may have been a one-off. Overall, I would go back during the day for their smoothies and try other offerings.

   I went to Caffe Primo for restaurant week with 4 other girls around happy hour which were great prices. The food was good, some of us got the featured dinner but the service was pretty awful. Happy hour ended at 6 and I usually like a heads up from the server in case you want to get anything else in. After dinners & apps were brought out, it took 30 minutes for someone to check on us. There were maybe 3 other tables. It turned out fine bc we were all talking and digesting/waiting for dessert but that was seriously insane!

   The best way I could describe the ambience is: "confused". They have wonderful food, nice moody lighting, and cool tables/booth and bar seating. But, the first few things I saw when I walked in were really disorienting: - A cooler with soda and water is displayed as if I were in line at an airport or in a lunch deli. - A massive sign in front of the register displaying all of the breakfast smoothies I could order at 8p.m. - A visible cash register on a bar next to the smoothie sign with a Far Niete wood box on the counter, overfilled with jalepeno potato chip bags. Again, a airport / deli vibe. Is this a sit down restaurant, a deli, a breakfast place, a bar, or what? Our server was incredibly kind and helpful. Also, the food was impressively good... Really, really good. Think Pan Bon good. Really good. Their wine list is pretty awful, except for the Force of Nature red blend, which they were out of stock. My SO tried the Vigneti Zabu Nero D' Avola and it tasted like a combination of turned wine and dishwasher soap. We shared our experience with the wait staff and asked instead of the William Hill cab. Meh, but do-able.

   Reasonable price, decent food, good service, but too large an open area for a romantic dinner. It's not enticing to enter a large open almost open restaurant. Owner needs to devide up the area or turn it into a sports bar

   New place. Very chill! Good food and wine and beer. Nice East Village spot!
