first time here. came in for an early dinner with friends. it was fairly empty and the music was a bit loud probably for staff rather than guests enjoyment. the extensive menu took some time to decipher but with help from the server we settled on a mixed ceviche and calamari causa for starters. mixed ceviche was mostly tasty but was missing the promised scallops and contained some un identifiable very unedible fish chunks. the causa was nice and squid was a good substitute for unavailable octopus. we all ordered an entree so we could sample the menu. pork belly stew was the favorite followed by lamb stew third was the beef where veg and potatoes shined but beef was tough and overcooked. seafood marisco with rice was pretty lackluster . In all we are a picky group. the flavors were there if you pick the right dishes. service was adequate , for a tuesday staff was limited . we will give it another try!

We had a lovely evening. Food was excellent -highly recommend the shrimp stuffed sushi appetizer. Pisco sour cocktail was perfect. Pacing of courses was just right. We will be back!

Food was okay and service slow The white ceviche was not good, missing flavor and the corn was too hard The atun ceviche was better The lomo saltado was great The appetizers took more than 30 minutes to arrive

Excellent service level. My first experience tasting Peruvian cuisine and it was fantastic. Highly recommend and my family and I will be back. Parking limited but if you have early reservation not a problem at all. Very charming restaurant.

Food was great and so was ambience. We enjoyed all the dishes we got especially tiradero de atún, yuquitas a la huancaina, choros a la parmesana, anticucho de corazón, lomo saltado, sushi acevichado, ceviche clásico y seco de cordero. All these dishes were super flavorful and very authentic. Definitely recommend visiting Callao Restaurant.

We went with my family of four on Christmas Eve. The food was delicious, the ambiance was great, and the servers were very attentive. I am always looking for new places to dine. I have already started thinking about what friends I can bring and introduce a new restaurant to that is close to home!

We went to Callao for a family Christmas Eve, a party of 8. They were so kind and hospitable to us. Their food was delicious and we tried many dishes. Their menu is an adventure and will require a return visit. Thank you Callao! We all had a wonderful time.
