   We began our “experience” at the bar where creative and innovative drinks are carefully prepared with ice cubes made of purified water from Japan are made. We enjoyed the fabulous broccoli as we sipped and talked with our bartender. While at the bar, a skillet of way too rich cornbread was “gifted” to us (and went home with us). Dinner service was excellent, attentive, but nonintrusive. We shared the pork chop and the seabass—both excellently charred. A birthday treat was served, a sorbet of some type topped with small berries. It was “nondescript,” and we both did not enjoy it. All in all, a fabulous experience.

   We have been looking forward to trying this restaurant since our last visit to Carlsbad. The food was excellent as well as the service, but I have to admit we were a little in sticker shock at the end bill. The portions are a bit on the small side and ordering a couple items from starters to entree is recommended for a full dining experience. I was just disappointed that we won’t be back only because I didn’t feel the price wasn’t equal to the value and ambience expected for a higher end meal. I would still recommend for others.

   We took the family here plus toddlers. Servers couldn’t have been better. I have to say they are so well trained here. They have a great system. They are there for you to explain anything on the menu. They never seem rushed always are willing to take the time to describe a dish or help you choose an entrée or whatever and the food is fantastic Always elevated taste level dishes. Cornbread is to die for the warm olives are fantastic. The cavatelli is new on the menu and it is excellent the pork belly and any of the fish dishes are delicious.

   Just felt really rushed. Took all orders at the front and as soon as apps were done the entrees were there. Think entire dinner was 50 minutes with apps entrees and dessert. GREAT food comes fast but please spread it out more

    Love this place. Steak, market fish, cornbread all were awesome. Broccoli is the smash hit. Service is incredible here. This is our go to for sure.
