Lovely venue with ocean views. The fire pits were a nice treat and the waiters also were able to provide scarfs and small blankets/towels to keep us warm. The food was great and servers did a great job recommending what to eat and attentive to our large group!

Canoe House offers an outstanding experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the elegant and understated polynesian ambiance. Our meal was outstanding, and I would highly recommend Tempura Green Beans, Garlic Fried Rice, and the Apaname cocktail to name a few. Given the high price points, this is a special occasion restaurant, but fully delivers on that promise. A local said it is his "favorite restaurant on the Island".

Open table directions took us to a dead end street- opps. Nice restaurant service slow at first but finished strong.

We were recommended to try this place by a few friends. We were sat and were not offered drinks or even checked on for about 15 minutes. It seems there may be a service issue, but some were being tended to every second while others waited. Finally our server came. We both got drinks, they were good but not worth $30-$40 each. We placed an order for an appetizer, the waygu tataki and our dinners, lobster and yellow tail. Our dinner came out within minutes and they completely forgot about our appetizer. Once we got it, it was completely cold, but the plates were insanely hot, hence probably being left under a warmer or reheated. My lobster was room temp and very meh. As a sorry, we got our dessert free and a check in by the manager. We left hungry, unsatisfied and $300+ less in our bank accounts. You’re paying resort, beach front prices, but it’s definitely not worth it. The resort is nice and beautiful, but I would pass on this restaurant. The service for the price needs insane work. The food needs work as well. The view is gorgeous, but just go and sit at the chairs and bonfire for free, skip this place. Won’t recommend or return.

Second time dining here and it just gets better. Amazing food, vibe, and oceanfront view. Shout out to our stellar waiter Michael…he made the whole experience smooth and fun! Can’t wait to come back.

We came with a party of 16 and 6 extra people showed up . The entire staff helped very efficiently to accommodate the added people. The service was great . The food was excellent as always despite the added number of people. I can't say enough about the restaurant.

Vacationing on the Big Island lured us to this dining spot which brought the best of the island to the table, using only the freshest ingredients that captured every taste bud with every bite and worth every penny! We researched many restaurants, but have to say that this one was the winner of them all. We will definitely come back on our next trip by canoe or car! Mahalo!

Best meal we have had on the big island. And we’ve been everywhere. Whether this is a date night or a family dinner….exquisite.
