   Food and service were outstanding. We had a wonderful dinner in a beautiful setting. I wish the tables weren’t so tucked back in the restaurant, would have preferred a closer table to the sunset. The prices are extremely high, but the food is delicious! Our server did a very nice job. Our party of six ordered the tomahawk steak, the chicken, scallops, fresh catch, as well as the sweet bread, potatoes and garlic fried rice. The fried rice is a must! The CanoeHouse will definitely be on our dinner list next time we visit!

   Absolutely outstanding. Deserves 10/5 stars. Get the chef tasting menu, it was killer. And they are so good with food allergies. Ian was the man!!

   We were thrilled to return to the Canoe House last night - one of our all time favorite restaurants on the Big Island - after an absence of five years, due to the covid pandemic and a move. We splurged on the chef's tasting menu and we were blown away by how creative, beautifully presented and how absolutely delicious each course was, ranging from appetizers to a salad to a fish course to a meat course, and wrapping up with a delicate cheesecake for dessert. The service, led by our server Michael, was terrific. His advice on the wine choice - sake? really? - was spot on. Of course the setting and ambience was idyllic. Canoe House chefs, back of house and front of house staff - you are still awesome, and we are so grateful to have spent a lovely evening with you. Thank you!

   Fantastic food and ambiance. Portions a little small but taste, food quality and flavors were outstanding. Amazing view of the sunset. Staff is lovely!

   We had a wonderful and delicious dinner for our 50th Anniversary. Thank you Canoe House for giving us a beautiful table. Everything that Ian suggested was absolutety fanstastic!! We also had a beautiful sunset which made it a perfert evening.
